Just outside my window stands a tall ackee tree, which at first I didn't know much about. However, I was given ackee and saltfish for breakfast one morning. Needless to say I didn't want to taste it but once I tasted it, I want it whenever I am in Jamaica. And I have been there seven times to promote my books. So I am an ackee fan.
