Ok so Thursday we had plans for the night to go to Amnesia with Teri and Trevor. But before that we decided to spend the day with a couple good friends of ours. This was one of my favourite days. We went up to the house of our friends Zed-X, X and Champange lol!!

Walking up to the house..it was on the side of the hill near the highway into Ochi.

I saw some cute kids...and anybody who knows me, knows I love kids but I have a special weakness for Jamaican kids. I find them to be cute...and quite funny as many of them are alot bolder than kids here. I love taking big bags of Candy and giving them to the kids there. They love and appreciate it so much..and lets face it what kids don't love Candy. I also get to know the little ones and have some of the cutest conversations and its such a small thing to make a few kids happy!!

So after this comes my favourite part. We went down to some local beach that is off the chart as far as places anybody who is not local knows about....so we felt kinda lucky to see it. It was stunning!! Some of my favourite trip pictures came from this little venture. I find that Jamaica has it's tourist spots but some of the most beautiful little treasures are the things you won't see unless you have some local friends who are willing to take you. Jamaica is such a beautiful country with stunning little suprises like this!

Walking down to the beach....sooo pretty!!

..........Walk to the beach continued.....

Some shots of the boys dancing on the rocks. And of all of us heading towards the beach. I loved these photos so much. There is a quiet powerful beauty to Jamaica..sometimes its in the places people find joy and fun...without the materialistic things we depend on here...or its the untouched beauty of local beaches..or untouched nature...its hard to capture it on film. It always fills me with a sense of wonder.

So we finally got down to the beach...it was beautiful and had a waterfall/ little river coming from inland and emptying into the ocean. It was called " Laughing falls" and is supposed to be " special water", perhaps because of where the river is stemming from inland, I'm not sure. We had a blast swimming in the ocean watching the boys dance on the beach, and sitting in the waterfall...which was also mildly interesting. I went down a small part of it not by choice LOL and bumped up my knees a bit. But it was a blast.

If any of you want to see the boys dancing..this is a video Kristi made of a bunch of their videos..mostly from this beach day...put togeather. It's pretty cool!!!

It looks like the local beach I went to - we had to negoiate some big rocks to get there and there is a beautiful waterfall on one side of the beach. Lovely photos Ash.

Oooh cool Jellybean...thats awesome if you got to go there. It so pretty....and its one of those places I'm really glad has stayed more a local secret and off the tourist map. It's so much better when it's quieter.

Did you sit in the waterfall when you went girl?? The water is suprisingly cool even for fresh water!!
