IMHO they should both go to jail since they put all sorts of rescue workers and law enforcement people at risk.

Send them up in a hot air balloon! :rolling:

Honestly, I would need to put more though into that. Maybe the mother and father switch off doing jail time with taking care of them or heck, maybe they would be better off with foster parents.

Well I have to wonder at the parenting skills of people who would use their children to pull such an elaborate hoax...in hopes of a future reality show. First off I disagree with putting children on TV on reality series...acting in movies is bad enough...but reality puts their real business out to the general public and I feel kids don't have the understanding to approve or disapprove of that.

So the parents obviously think nothing of exploiting their children. Secondly...what a horrible hoax. Using a child to cause panick and mass media attention?? I figure the parents may not be the fittest of parents. So maybe some good foster care...or temporary custody by grandparents or something until the parents have done jail time and been reassessed in regards to parents skills, would be better. Who knows...

I read that they are gonna do a show with just kate and the kids...was wondering if they do that...does he get a cut of the money since they are his kids as well??? And can he refuse to let them??

I also heard a judge ordered him to put back the money he stole from their joint account, AND he has apparently tapped her email and phones because he's paranoid she is hiding money from him.

I'm still on his side though. She was mean to him...I figure he's probably a normal guy way out of his league in the fame business. His wife is a calculating wench....and I feel bad for those kids more than anything.

They should be charge! When i heard the news I thought oh that poor child!
When you follow their story this family just gets crazier and crazier!

He wanted media attention now he's got it! The State spend a lot of money to find out what was going on with this little boy-he should paid back the state.

Taking the kids away from them would only make the the situration worst, the parents put them up to it in the first place.

They were trying to get in TV and have their 15 seconds of fame to earn $$, the best consequence is to take any potential earnings away from them. I think they should get a huge fine that can be given to the rescue organizations. I don't think jail is usually the best justice, it's not preventative, but I don't think they will get jail time because they are only being charged with misdemeanours.
