If you go often enough move to Miami where they have cheap flights. The taxes from the UK are really high and when you add them to the Jamaican taxes for flights they make cheap flights expensive. School holidays are always expensive to travel since everyone wants to take their kids somewhere even more so in the winter when it's cold.

What is your departure city (LHR?) and I'm assuming you are flying into Kingston? I can't think of the site now (sleepy) but I know it will come to me in the morning....something like faretracker.com that tracks the highs and lows of airfare pricing. I think www.bing.com has something as well to track prices even though the prices that they show are NEVER the best deal.

Lol, Jaigo is correct, move to Miami or one of the other cities in the US that offer non stop deals......just don't move to one that is only serviced by Air Jamaica since they are pulling out and selling out (closing routes and under new owners in under 2 months from now). If you have a sense of humor look for my thread where I'm helping them sell two of their planes for $17,000,000 USD each............I'm willing to settle for CASH offers.

LOL thanks guys!

I have actually contemplated moving to the US haha! But i dont know anyone there and no idea about job opportunities for the area im studying in.
I would be departing from LGW as its nearer to me...i usually just save for a year to go but now my son travels with me im easily spending £2000 for each holiday just for flights and living expenses.

I will have a search through google i think.

This has a little info: http://www.dealchecker.co.uk/cheap-flig ... maica.html

The site that I use to use with all sort of neat little graphs looks like they sold out :-( You might want to call a travel agent and see if they can pull up some data on flight trends. Also, check to see how much the prices change if you can change your departure and arrival airports and if the ground transport cost to make the changes are worth it.

I'm not sure if you have charter flights over there but if you do see if you can get on their list. Over here they will call you when they are planning a flight and in some cases with low fares to fill up every last seat. Since their dates are set in stone they might not be the best thing since you have school and a kid but you never know.

Good luck
