Christmas fun with Algebra

Postby Nanoose » Tue Oct 27, 2009 9:00 pm

One of my favorite parts of my annual Christmas displays is the “Christmas fun with Algebra section”.
In it there are different levels of Christmas Algebra problems waiting to be solved – find the volume of Santa’s sled and fun stuff like that.
I also try to make my Christmas Algebra problems fun and interesting (un –like regular Algebra problems which aren’t interesting or fun at all)
One of my regular Christmas guests is probably already getting excited about Christmas and counting the sleeps before she can come over and solve her special Christmas Algebra problem. Hope your 2009 – 2010 Christmas season is greater then last years. Cheers!
What's pushing us apart isn't loneliness what's holding us together isn't love. Listen to the man who's been touched all his life yes he's the one they call the fool. Where is that savoir of the sidewalk life and the road that takes us to the crusades? We still got along way to go yes we still got a along way to go.

Nanoose, please refrain from using the word " Algebra" on this site, the word gives me the shakes. I took it 3 times in college, got a D the first time that would not transfer, got another D the second time (at another college) and while I was getting a F at best at a third college I talked the teacher into giving me a C so I could transfer to yet another college. Blah blah blah, it all boils down to the fact that I use Algebra as much as I use the decimal system and write in cursive.

Now lets discuss Christmas! I might decorate my house for the first time in 10 years if the kids want to help. In the past my excuse has been that we can look out our windows and see all of the other homes with decorations......can't really see that our home lacks any from inside our house!
