Clothing With Sun Protection

Postby ECO » Mon Aug 03, 2009 9:28 pm

A few years ago I rolled my eyes when I first heard of tan through bathing suits and even today I'm not sure if they changed the way people tan. Today I shopped at a Columbia clothing outlet and noticed that they are promoting clothing with UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor). A fair share of the clothing I bought have a rating between 30 (Good protection) and 50 (Excellent protection). Now before you think I'm a nut, I bought the clothing because it was cheap...I'm cheap plus I like pretty much everything Columbia makes.

In the past 39+ years of my life I have never once got a sunburn through my clothes and I sure the heck never got a tan through my clothes so.........does the world really need clothing with UPF?

Here's a link if you have any interest http://www.columbia.com/Omni-Shade/Scie ... lt,pg.html

On a side note, if you are currently wearing clothing that you can get a tan in let me know since I have a white ass and I would like to tan it up a little while I work and play outdoors.

Lol, if this stuff is not in demand in your market I have no clue why they think people will buy it in the states :scratchheadblue:
