I can't use matches when I get lit so I stick with lighters. If you buy a lighter attach it to a used tire and 20' of chain so people don't run off with it.

Time is going to fly, I'm in Maine this Saturday and Rhode Island this Sunday.

My weekend plans have suddenly changed, too. Son's Radford University lacrosse team had been scheduled to have a home game against Old Dominion University, but ODU flaked & cancelled. BUT they're now scheduled to play in a 4-team brawl (Radford, James Madison University, Lynchburg College, and George Mason University) at JMU in Harrisonburg on Saturday. That's a relatively short 2-hour drive (relative to the 4.5-hour drive to Radford), so I'll probably spend Saturday in the scenic Shenandoah Valley watching my son play lacrosse. So this weekend will fly for me, too, and then I'll be counting down the days with the fingers on one hand till Jamaica.

Haven't heard from elder son since last week, and I'm hoping that we can get together for sushi or Jack Daniels and Coke or whatever this weekend, too. He and his GF are getting serious and talking about getting married, so I've got to have an intervention to try to talk some sense into him before it's too late.

Well, I woke up this morning, and I had myself a beeah... Pardon me, but I can't help breaking into Jim Morrison with only 4 and a wake-up left. Then the next beer I'll be having will be if I can cajole the bus driver into stopping at a roadside stand near Lucea so I can buy a Red Stripe to savor for the rest of the ride to Negril.

I'm only posting this now to let you all know I'm not ignoring the fact that you are all going to Jamaica this week. But I havent read the thread yet cos I hate you all. But hope so much you all have a wonderful time and all get on great together. One day I will meet all of you who I haven't yet met. Have a great time. Everything is right on schedule and going according to plan--stopped by an ATM & got the cash I'll need for the trip, did a load of laundry of clothes I plan to pack, notified Visa of my trip so they won't freeze my account if I charge purchases, checked my airline Web site for any changes in my flights, clipped my toenails, trimmed my nosehairs and tufts of ear hair, double-checked to make sure I didn't forget the rice papers or the condoms...

Tomorrow's chore: stop by PetSmart to load up on catfood and litter.

2 days, 20 hours and some minutes............68 hours and since I'll be sleeping for 24 of those it's only 44 hours........and since I'm online 12 hours a day that only leaves 13 hours and I can account for most of that time as well.

Maybe if I get bored of pacing in circles I'll check to see if my passport is still valid!

Way to much prep for a date! Just borrow a nice car and print up some fake Google or Microsoft business card that claim you are a senior VP. Tell your date something about forgetting your wallet on your jet but your office will wire the money to your hotel in the morning to repay her for the date.

Oh, and if you missed it, you have to sneak out of the hotel before she wakes up looking for money.
