I know. You'd think that a pound...16 ounces...would last a while, but I had a pound a couple times, and it lasted only a month or two! :bs:

Wahoo, I've proven a few times that a night of drinking down at my boat club will cause my body to retain a few extra pounds and it takes about a day for each one to go away. On the flip side of retaining liquids, a friend of mine use to jog dressed in garbage bags in order to loose about 7-10 pounds in about an hour or two! Lol, at the time we were both both firefighters testing to get on the local police department and he was also a paramedic......he was aware of the risks of sweating out all of his fluids but it put his weight where he needed it for the tests.

Interesting fact: Canned sweet corn has sugar added to it :scratchheadblue: I ran out of fresh veggies last night so I was forced at gun point to add a small can of corn to my mixture of noodles and peppers.

Not really interesting fact: One ounce of peanut butter will add flavor to 1/2 gallon of food.

Boring fact: Watching the scale after the first week is boring

Tuna Fish:

Only a couple brands mention they are "dolphin safe", does that mean all of the other ones contain dolphin?

Every brand adds salt....is there a single food item that does not contain 10% of my daily salt requirements?

The low fat/diet tuna.........ever wonder how they get 2-3% less fat? They add soy and other fillers to the tuna......one of the fillers is "may contain bones".

Scratch tuna from my diet, I really need to get looking for fresh fish...........fish without crap added to it.

Update @ at 32 or so days since I doubt I will get time before the I leave on vacation:

I lost 11 pounds, the first 6 or so were in the first week and everything has slowed down since then. My diet has not changed, nor have my portions but I've been exercising and lifting weights way too often. Since I don't know how fast fat can turn into muscle or anything at all about dieting I will not attempt to make some comment about the benefits or downfalls of lifting on a diet.

The Pros;

My food excluding two meals out a week only cost $35-$50, saving me well over $200 a month on lunches and meals.
Eating only about a pound of chicken or fish a week and no red meat or swine......hard to explain but since that crap does not stay in my system it makes me feel less bogged down.

Eating a diet without chemicals and maybe the meat...........or could it be the exercise makes me less tired, I seldom take naps and I only need about 6 hours of sleep a night.

The cons:

Spending time picking out healthy food.

Saying no to all of those yummy things like pulled pork, candy bars, ice cream........time to change the subject.

Getting over how horrible brown rice taste without any gravy or stuff to make it taste better!

Getting over how bad I smell from eating a ton of garlic.

The weird stuff:

Not drinking coffee with caffeine for a month and having a cup today........I had a buzz that would of taken me 12 cups to get a month ago.

Having my shorts fall off because I am too cheap to but smaller clothes.

Having people I know ask me for dieting tips.........lol, wait for my book to come out "The 40 day diet from a guy without a clue".

Eating out and complaining about way too much chicken/fish and not enough rice and veggies.

Thinking a proper snack is a bunch of carrots, some celery and maybe some apples.

Conclusions:

I was really hoping to be able to outshine that guy from "supersize me" since it took him 4 months to lose 25 pounds and since I don't need to lose another 14 pounds I doubt I will ever be able to prove that my hack of a system works better than his.

Since I had no goals from the start I guess I exceeded my goals.

I'm thinking of cutting the fish and chicken out of my diet and switching to an Ital diet...........hmmm I hinted at this months ago.

In conclusion, it was fun having a challenge since I love them.........now I need a new one, any ideas?

Before you go Ital, you must treat yourself to the Denny's Ultimate Omelette--a 3- or 4-egg omelette stuffed with bacon, sausage, and farm-fresh veggies, with a generous side of hash browns and whole-wheat toast slattered with butter. When you walk out of Dennys after finishing off that feast, your belly will be so swollen, you'll look like Octomom in her third trimester.

Sorry, but Dennys doesn't do botox injections, so if you want the complete Octomom look, with lips like inner tubes, you'll have to visit a plastic surgeon...or plan a quick trip to Mexico (I think they use industrial silicone instead of botox there).
