Did you hear my joke about the sock puppet and the pirate?

Postby Nanoose » Sat Mar 27, 2010 12:37 am

Today I was reading posts on another Forum and noticed one by a user called crazy pirate man who was basically just saying - arr how’s it going mate’s .
So I replied - Hey are you that crazy pirate man that stole my sock puppet and turned it into a shoulder parrot?
Some one replied – arr I stole your sock puppet and turned it into my shoulder parrot.
And I replied – well I hope you named it Polly because it was a polyester sock.
Cheers and happy week end!

I was going to tell the wench/secretary that she had better not book me for work on International talk like pirate day or she would be feeling the tip of my sword.
But then I remembered that she is a greedy lass and would probably book me for a double shift so that she could feel my sword twice.
I’m planning on talking like a 17th centaury pirate with a British accent and I will probably talk about my adventures and my plundering in the China sea (have to do some research)Cheers!

IMHO it's twisted how people all get into the pirate thing, from the shirts and flags to talking like them and attempts to act like them. If you think about it, pirates are just a mix of modern day car jackers, drug addicts, rapist, home invaders, outlaws............and the list goes on and on. At least people don't want to act like pedophile priests or klans people.

While we are on the topic, I want a cannon for my boat to shoot at those silly asss pirate flags........only issue is I have yet to save up enough money to buy a pirate's hat to match my eye patch and wooden leg.

Sorry for hijacking your thread.....it's the pirate within me :-)

You gotta admit it's funny when those dumbass Somali pirates mistakenly attack a warship...sort of like bringing a penknife to a shoot-out.

Those of you who believe in reincarnation might be surprized to know that in a previous life I was a pirate--and not just any pirate, but Wahoo, Pirate Extraordinaire, the most courageous, most ruthless pirate ever to sail the Seven Seas.

Me and me crew were headed for Port Royal for a fortnight of wenching and rum-swigging when my bo'sun announced, "Captain, a British warship on yon horizon!"

"Order the men to prepare for battle," I commanded, "and bring me my purple sash."

"Aye, Captain," the bo'sun answered, "but, Sir, why do you wear a purple sash into battle?"

"I, Wahoo, Pirate Extraordinaire, wear a purple sash to signify to the men my courage and steel nerves in the heat of battle," I explained.

The bo'sun then reported, "Captain, the warship has spotted us and is under full sail toward us!"

"Order the men to man the guns," I commanded, "and bring be my red tunic."

"Aye, Captain," the bo'sun answered, "but, Sir, why do you wear a red tunic?"

"I wear a red tunic," I replied, "so that if I'm wounded, the men won't notice my blood and lose their resolve to fight."

About then the bo'sun yelled, "Captain, British warship now just starboard of the ship!"

"Order the men to prepare to board," I commanded, "and bring me my brown pants..."

"Anne Bonny and Mary Read, both pregnant, were given stays of execution. Neither one would ever hang..."

This might explain, on my visit to Pirates Cave a few years ago, the uncanny feeling of deja vu that I had wenched and swashbuckled there before. :bs:
