Does Santa Hate Poor Kids?

Driving around with my kids this evening I began to think about what happens when kids discuss what santa brings them. Let's say 20 kids are sitting around discussing what they got and the rich kids all brag about $1000 worth of gifts while the poor kids talk about $1 in gifts. Do you think the poor kids think that santa likes them less since they did not get ponies, new downhill skis, diamond earrings..........?

On one hand I know kids are not into judging people on their net worth but on the other hand I know kids will bitch if you give one 2 pieces of candy and another 1 piece. Growing up I use to think Santa hated me because he would only bring me clothes and season tickets to the local ski mountain while all of my friends got all of the cool toys (my parents did not like to buy us toys).

Should we start a movement forcing "Santa" to bring all kids the same amount of gifts so kids don't grow up with issues like chatting on a Jamaica forum?

Well in a Christmas nut shell I figure Santa should bring a lump coal to the rich kids that sat around and “bragged” about what they got in front of the poor kids. And at the risk of sounding like a Ginch – the sad thing is poor kids don’t think Santa likes them less they just know their poor and don’t or can’t expect a lot. Today I was checking out the Santa at the mall and noticed that not all the kids got to sit on his lap it was just for the kids who would pay $9 for a 5” by 9” photo with Santa.. I figure all the kids at that mall should be able to sit on Santa’s lap so somebody in mall administration should get a lump of coal from Santa. It would be nice if ever child got the same amount of gifts but trying to “force” Santa to take care of it would be knotty and I don’t want a lump of coal next year so I will have no part of that. But maybe we can get a thread going 359 more days to talk Santa into giving all the children of the word = gifts. Cheers and merry Christmas!

I never knew you had to pay money for the honor of waiting in a line for an hour to sit on Santa's lap. I'll add that to my list of reasons why I don't shop at shopping mails.

Wahoo, the ski tickets were a long time ago..........back in the days when I still had hair. Now we don't exchange gifts since we don't feel the need to buy each other useless gifts.

Yes, Santa discriminate against poor kids. Santa and his reindeers never came my way as a child. I just tell myself it too hot for Santa, he likes the cold weather. My parents stress the fact that all the gift we got came from them and not Santa Clause. I hate Santa! He should be nice to all kids rich or poor.

The X – factor to Santa and = Christmas gifts between the rich and poor kids..

I know a youth who bugged his parents for a high performance ski doo for
Christmas. The next season global warming started effecting his area and he didn’t get to use his $8.000 ski doo. But the poor kids in his area were having fun with their all season Hakey Sacs that were lovingly purchased by their parents at the dollar store.

Yes, Santa discriminate against poor kids. Santa and his reindeers never came my way as a child. I just tell myself it too hot for Santa, he likes the cold weather. Santa doesn't visit Jamaica because you folks would make curry out of his reindeer!

Out of interest, when did they tell you the truth about him? I don't blame them for telling you the gifts came from them, it's sort of silly to give Santa credit for giving good gifts...........maybe he can get credit for giving socks and underwear.

First of all belated happy Christmas to you and your family.
As discussed about the santa I don't know how much it is correct but I think that what ever the gifts given should be of same price and so that this discrimination between the poor and rich will not arise.
