Some of those guys' GF's sitting in the spectator stands could've been Hooters Girls, and I was tempted to snap a couple of pics of them, but I run a lot slower than those guys and I'd like to keep my teeth at least a couple of more years.

Not to brag, but son's team won again last nite, though by a much narrower margin. Don't know what the final scores were, but there were a lot of goals on each side, with each team scoring about a dozen goals. Lots of action! So they remain undefeated for the season. Yet the tables could turn in the next game, or the next. That's the great thing about competitive sports--they teach the values of teamwork and instill the spirit to excel, but every team wins some and loses some, and that teaches the players the virtue of humility, which is an admirable virtue to have in real life.

It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that son's team's brief winning streak came crashing to an abrupt end last night. I won't add insult to injury by repeating the score...suffice it to say they were slaughtered. Got to give credit where credit is due, though--those guys on the winning team were awesome!

Next game tomorrow night at 8:00 at a cushy playing field out by Dulles Airport. I'm sending positive vibes to son's team to get back in the winner's circle.

While I'm not a sports fan I've noticed that I'm now a on-line fan of Wahoo's son's team.

Thanks for the support, guys, and for sending your positive vibes to the team. And if anyone knows anyone who knows voodoo and can put a voodoo hex on the opposing team, that couldn't hurt, either.

There a little shop about 15 miles east of Fort Lauderdale Florida that sells those little voodoo dolls........maybe Lilly can pick one up for you? I bought one as a gag gift for a friend and the weird lady at the shop gave me a harsh warning on how they work and how using them will expose your soul to all sorts of dark stuff. Lol, after my friend read the instructions and saw the same warnings he opted to throw the voodoo doll away and was concerned that even touching it would bring him bad luck.

That's a great suggestion! Lilly could be my accomplice, and we could do this by cell phone. For instance, I could tell her when a player on the other team is driving at the net to score, and she could cut the voodoo doll's hamstring or hold a lighter under its feet.

Years ago, a friend of ours who was getting married, as wedding shower gift received an African fertility doll. Everyone had a big hoot at the funny gag gift, but I thought was one of the most novel, most interesting, most thoughtful gifts ever. They have two lovely (now grown) daughters, so I guess the fertility doll magic worked.

Dayum! I drive all the way out to BF Chantilly (a 1-hour drive, which took me about 40 minutes), and my team dropped another one! I'm beginning to think smaddy put a voodoo hex on my team! Only two regular season games (plus maybe a make-up game for the one that was rained out) left before the playoffs. Keep those positive vibes coming!

Time for cheerleaders!

Hey, do the boys know the rule about no sex on game day?

Well, last nite's 9:00 p.m. last game of the regular summer season was rained out. (I hate those late games 'cause I don't get home till 11:00 p.m.--which is too late for us F.O.G.'s, especially during the workweek.) So, son's team played only 4 of the 6 scheduled games, for a 2W-2L record. Ordinarily, this would be the end of it, but the top 4 teams go to the playoffs next week, and even with a tepid 2W-2L record, that should put them in one of the playoff games. We'll see.

Otherwise, just 1 more month left before son returns to college, then I'll be posting reports of the highlights of (and the MILFs at) at his school's Fall season LAX games.

Spent the day at a collegiate lacrosse tournament at James Madison University in Harrisonburg (in the Shenadoah Valley). About 8 teams participated. Son's team didn't fare well, I'm sad to report--they fell to the University of North Carolina and the University of Maryland. All in all, though, a pleasant, comfortably cool day...till about 3:00 pm when the temp started to plummet. Then, OMG, it got cold! :yipes: Everybody just wanted that last game to end so we could get to our cars and crank up the heat.

What a difference a year makes. Son's LAX team, the Radford Univ. Highlanders, has been playing strong during the fall and spring seasons. Next games are this weekend in Charlottesville (central Va), so I'm planning to drive down to show my support for the team (and slip my son some beer money, now that he's 21 and can buy his own beer instead of drinking mine).

10 am: Radford v. Lunchburg College
11:30 am: UVa v. Radford
1 pm: UVa v. Lynchburg

RU men's lacrosse team travels to James Madison Univ. (Harrisonburg, Va) the next weekend for a full day of games (multiple teams). Not sure I can make that trip, though, what with gas prices going thru the roof. Which raises the question: If the cost of a barrel of oil has decreased, as it has over the past week or two, why does the price per gallon of gas at the pumps continue to increase every day? :scratchheadblue: But I digress...

Thought I would through in a video of a girl VS boy match. My son learned some of his moves from a girl – she was a Bull Dyke and when she played sometimes guys would pull the old pulled ham string trick so they wouldn’t have to go on the field with her. (she has gone to the big hickory stick in the sky now – RIP Bev). Cheers and happy week end!
