Miss Sonia food review----------> http://www.jamaicatravelforum.com/miss- ... iew-negril

This is the place where they trusted me to help myself to the beer in their refrig! Her son also gave me a ride to the bank since I did not have any Jamaican money on me to pay for my meal and beer.....ok beers with a big S.

Great place, check it out and tell them I said hello.

For the first time in my travels to Jamaica I didn't eat a patty anywhere......I forgot I guess. In hindsight I should of had her make up a bunch of them so I could keep them in my room for late night snacks.

Callaloo and ackee go great together!

So far I'm doing fine not eating animals.....I cheated a few times and had a little fish over at MiYard so I'm not a vegetarian 8-) Eating only fruits and veggies saved me a ton of money on my meals. People in the country would give me fruit for free and I found a veggie stand where I could buy fresh veggies for $80J a pound! Eating raw cabbage takes some getting use to.....maybe next time I'll ask for a cook stove :dreads: I think I only ate out for a handful of meals and I'm really glad Miss Sonia's was one of them.

Hi ECO,

Thanks for sharing!

Callaloo and Ackee…hmmhmmhmm…..so delicious.

Those are included in my favorite Jamaican food list.

It looks like valuable place to dine, I didn’t eat there before and definitely we will try it during our next trip.

Best Regards,

Eco, if you're in a cheating mood, I'm slow cooking a really nice pork loin roast in Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, with a few dollops of Jamaican jerk sauce, tonite. Should be ready in couple of hours. Gonna serve it up with steamed rice and a fresh garden salad. I'll save a plate for you, if you're interested. Bring beer!
