Rachel Christie, 20, was named the 2009 winner ahead of Kat Hodge, a 21-year-old soldier decorated for bravery in Iraq, who came second after the public vote.

The newly-crowned Miss England is also on course to compete in the heptathlon at the London 2012 Olympics.

The athlete has won medals at major UK race meets such as the AAA and South of England championships.

She trains at the stadium in Hammersmith, west London, named after her uncle.

Whether or not Rachel is the most beautiful woman in this years competition makes no nevermind when you read all the negative racism on the news websites in the UK!!!

Yes - we can fight to be accepted, but seriously HOW MUCH!!!

Votes fury as Linford niece wins glam title

THE Miss England contest was plunged into a voting row last night after it emerged the winner - Linford Christie's niece Rachel - won just NINE public votes.
The 20-year-old heptathlete won the title after a panel of six judges deemed her the best of 15 shortlisted beauty queens.

Yet their decision seemed at odds with the public, who each shelled out £1 to vote for their favourite in a poll.

In that vote, compiled by a premium rate phone line on Miss England's official website, Rachel finished only 49th out of the 54 original contestants after securing just her handful of the 10,000 registered votes.

It seems the public could vote but the final decision is up to the judges....
I guess my issue is the fact that most people don't even watch the bloody thing!!!
If it had been a white girl that had won it - under the same circumstances - we wouldn't know about it!!
She is mixed race - best of both worlds - but they are making her black side negative...
Just sick of it!
Let the girl enjoy her year... she'll fade into oblivion just like the rest of them (or end up a high class prossie just like the rest of them!!!)

LOL.. This one is training for the 2012 Olympics in London.

The presenter asked her this morning what she was aiming for at the Olylmpivs, and she replied "well hopefully if I train harder and be disciplined I will get where I want to be"
Errr no love - he is asking you what the hell you gonna be doing in the 2012 Olympics! :rolling:

Poor chap had to be more specific and ask her what her discipline was

I always thought i wasn't the brightes bulb in the batch, :-) now i don't feel so bad. I love people like her they make me feel smart

Why is it that these 'beautiful' girls really have no brains.... is it really impossible to have both...????

Which would YOU prefer to have???

I'm with you Tinks, a combination of both...if i had a dollar for each time the "pretty" girls on my job had to come to me and asked what do i do with this client? what's that? how do i do this project? can you come in my office and show me how to .... Sometimes i just shook my head and asked myself how on earth did they get there postion. If only i was beautyful i would've been siting in that fancy office and asked the little people how to do my job.

Why buy love when you can rent it? Did you know our Rent a Dread packages* start at the low price of just $35.00** a day?

*Taxes and surcharges extra

**Intro package is for a white dude with one of the fake dread hats.
