BC First Nations will govern their own medical system

In 2013 BC First Nations will start governing their own medical. The Canadian Federal Government will be giving 3 hundred million a year and the BC Government will give another 1 hundred million. In a way I think it’s a good idea because it is a step towards pride but what I am afraid of is it will just make Band Chiefs richer. Like if a reservation is given 40 grand a year for their medical clinic some chiefs will scam some money – you usually don’t see a poor chief but most others live in poverty.
