I think people like it there because in some places in Jamaica it's ok to do it whenever and pretty much wherever you want to smoke it. The prices are GENERALLY much cheaper, the quality is generally better and the variety of herb just blows people's mind. <---Note, those statements do not apply to all places in Jamaica or in all cases....sort of a broad statement.

I'll add:

Most people think that smoking ganja in Jamaica is legal or you will get a slap on the wrist if you get caught. At home getting caught with it will ruin your life, you will have a criminal record, hefty court costs and maybe even spend time in jail.

BTW, not everyone of us saltine ass MF'ers go to Jamaica for herb. Some of us go to rent a dread or to search for the cocaine and hard drugs that are all over the place...just like the news tells us.

Disclaimer: I've never seen hard drugs in Jamaica, I've never been approached by anyone selling ganja, I've never seen a "rent a dread" and I'm not sure exactly what a saltine ass MF'er is but I find the term funny......hopefully it does not offend anyone.

Define "pothead" Dr Bajanbabe.

BTW, plenty of people go to Vegas for shows, the nightlife, hookers, drugs, wife swapping, and other things without ever putting a nickel in a slot machine.

You nailed it, Bajanbabe! On my first trip to Jamaica, on the day tour I took from Mobay to Dunn's River falls, there were a couple of middle-aged couples on the tour who were staying at the same hotel where I was staying (I was traveling solo). On the tour bus to Ochi, one of the wives (a school teacher in the states) was yacking openly and loudly about wanting to sample the ganja (and it was obvious that she'd never taken a toke in her life), and I was tempted to tell her privately to come up to my room when we got back to the hotel, and I'd be happy to fulfill her wish.

That gyal made out okay anyway, 'cause at a jewelry shop at the Taj Mahal Shopping Center where our tour bus stopped in Ochi, her husband bought her a gorgeous $1,600 amethyst and emerald ring. She showed it to me back at the hotel in Mobay, and it was a stunning ring.

For the record, BB, at the time of my first trip to Jamaica, it had been 20-plus years since I last let my freak flag fly. :yipes: But once a pothead, always a pothead, I guess... :dreads:

Seems as if someone doesn’t like my reply. Pothead=regular weed smokers. Oh I did not know one needs a doctorate to be able to recognize potheads.

I would not know about the other features of Las Vegas you have mentioned. ;-)

How often do people have to smoke to be a pothead? Is regular once a month, once a week, once a day or once an hour? So without a PHD you can just look at people and tell they are potheads? Let me ask, do they all dress like liberals, maybe some tie die shirts, some beads, maybe even a Bob Marley shirt?

Hey, is Montel a pothead since he uses it all the time but never smokes it (so he claims)?

:rolling: :rolling: All I can say is that I am glad you did not invite her up to your room. You may not be here with us now. :rolling: BTW did she get to sample the ganjah?

You got that straight. The last thing I need in my life is a Material Girl Living in the Material World!

:rolling: :rolling: :rolling: So the fact that her husband might have given you a beat down would not have deterred you. However, you are right, it is probably a lot easier to get rid of a jealous husband than it is to give the shakes to a material girl. :rolling:

Actually, and this is the coincidence part, her husband was a former Marine, too, and we served at roughly the same time, though in different places. And Marines are bound by honor not to screw around with each others' women.

And if you believe that, I got some prime real estate in The Great Morass I'm willing to sell you cheap! :-P

Not to get off topic but less than 15% of Jamaicans live below the poverty line. http://www.indexmundi.com/g/g.aspx?c=jm&v=69
Lol, according to that site the UK has a higher poverty rate.

Yes, it is very clear to me now that ganja might be the cure to poverty :rolling: :rolling:

The guy that owns Virgin airlines along with everything thing else smokes and not only does he hold the title of 'Sir' but he is mega rich. Cheech and Chong are complete potheads and they are doing fine.
