:merryxmas: :happyhalloween: :happynewyear: :birthday: I guess we don't have a Happy Thanksgiving smilie?

None the less, happy Thanksgiving if it's still politically correct to say that.

Thanks ECO. In my book it's politically correct. While we're on this subject, why is it soo politically incorrect to say Merry Christmas? I am not big on Christmas but it doesn't offend me when someone say Merry Christmas. I just don't know what to say to people now- a- days because I am afraid I might offend them.

I don't think it really offends anyone, or at least anyone that counts.

Jews= thought Jesus was a cool dude.

Christians= think he's the second coming.

People who don't believe= they are glad to get a day off of work or get time and a half if they do work on Christmas.

For the people that are offended by everything (PC police) fuc dem, fuc their 9/11 theories, fuc their desires to breed with farm animals.....

Last night was so nice sitting in front of a fireplace.....the first time in years! Drinking nice cold Red Stripes while chatting with family as all the kids ran around was priceless.

I've spent a number of Thanksgivings far away from home and family, but this was one of the weirdest yet. Younger son, who's staying with me while he's home on break from college, went with his mom to Maryland to have Thanksgiving dinner with our daughter-in-law and grandson because my elder son (the jarhead) was at the Army's Jump School at Fort Benning, Georgia, and I was in central Va spending Thankgiving day with my mother (maybe her last Thanksgiving). Yet, despite the distances separating us, we all somehow felt connected.

I spent much of the day raking leaves--21 bags worth--which I regretted later...even my pains had pains!
