1. Get Ting or your favorite island drink
2. Get Jamaican style beef patties (they sell them at our markets)
3. Crank out some Bob Marley
4. Play an MP3 of the Tree Frogs in the background
5. Enjoy!!!

Rose, a lot of people think that mesmerizing night sound is crickets chirping, but it's really tree frogs croaking. Personally, the thought of exotic free frogs croaking is more more appealing to me. I'll take cute tree frogs over disease-bearing insects any day.

I recorded tree frogs last April in Jamaica but every time I go to load the track to YouTube I get all relaxed from the sounds and then I'm too lazy to do the upload.

The same thing happens when I go to upload a track of me playing the drums with some Rastas up in the hills.

1. I didn't know they sold Ting in the states, I'll have to pick up a bottle for my kids. I've only had Red Stripe once in the states, I save that stuff for Jamaica.

2. My local Jamaican place sells patties to go......but I no longer eat meat and I'm not sure if she has veggie ones.

3. Bob Marley's music is in my car, on my laptop and in my IPOD.

4. Tree frogs, my sound track is what I use to chill out.

5. Enjoy= I'm enjoying my countdown getting smaller and smaller ;-)

I really like the Jamaican food and always try to make at home. I have used the http://www.jamaican-recipes.com/ it has great stuff about Jamaican recipes. Today I have tried the “Stew Peas and Rice” and its sound really delicious.
