How to celebrate Holidays

Postby GhettoGurl » Fri Apr 02, 2010 6:09 pm

(yes I named this thread that because I am extremely intelligent)

How do YOU celebrate the Holidays?
Since it's Easter I will start with that:
Easter?
Christmas?
New Years?
Indepence day?
Thanksgiving?

and if u could celebrate these holidays the way you really want to, what would u do?

How do YOU celebrate the Holidays?
Since it's Easter I will start with that:
Easter? On Good Friday, I usually play hipocryt and eat fish (this year I had chicken and hotdogs yeah!!) On Easter I have a boiled egg for breakfast!
Christmas? I decorate a tree, pull out all my candles, sing songs like "holy crap here comes Jesus", bake a turkey, bake a chicken, bake a ham, make mash potatoes from scratch, make gravy, steam veggies and eat and drink like a pig!! Oh and love playing Rockband after that... we also exchange gifts...(this year I had two strings of Xmas lights, 10 candles, one baked chicken, glazed potatoes, tenderloin meat and asparagus..It was just me, Ced and my son.. the boys got gifts (both EXACTLY what they had wanted) and I didnt get the brown stuff that floats in the toilet!!!
New Years? Normally? Fireworks, family, neighbors, champagne and good food.... ending in Rockband... This year? House and trends music... Hasj cakes, weed, drinks and frigging BURITO's!!! OMG!!!! Following by not hearing from Ced for 4 days because he was in JAIL!!! LOLOLOL
What a start!!!! **Yes readers.. I am indeed pregnant and yes Ced is the baby daddy! (dear lord sounds even worser than I thought it would)

Indepence day?We don't
Thanksgiving?Have celebrated it about 6 times in Aruba, not with my family but me and Nigel would get invited to dinner with Tourists that would stay at the hotel I worked at.... Sooooo much fun ;-) This year I celebrated it with a simple dinner, talking to my son about what all we have to be thankful for.. infact I should make that a standard thing to do before dinner..so that would make it prayer.. or praising..

and if u could celebrate these holidays the way you really want to, what would u do?

If I could just do what I want.. wow.. I would probably still all do those same things...I liked my different Thankgivings this year, my rebelious Xmas was different, my family wanted me to join them all and I ended up spending it the way I wanted to.. as my own little family, with Nigel, Ced and me! Although the jerk didnt get me no present, it was PERFECT!

Not gonna fall for thtat one again though, next year I am making a list and I will DEMAND what I want LOL

For Easter we go to church for free food! Speaking of which, I gotta see if the temples are offering free food on Saturday, I might double dip.

For holidays in general, I stand by the true meaning "holy days" IMHO, if you don't believe in the true meaning of the day piss off. That is why I source free food on Easter..... because the Easter bunny said I should. All kidding aside, my Christian faith ends on Easter Sunday at the exact moment Jesus went to heaven, after that the pages in the bible mean nothing to me at all.....but they make good rolling paper in a pinch!

Christmas?
New Years?
Indepence day?
Thanksgiving?

Christmas= the real (holy event) did not happen when we celebrate it.

New Years= we celebrate the wrong one! Lol, the Jews were counting years long before us.....sort of rude to make them restart the clock eh?

Independence Day= independent from what? Lol, we celebrate a day when we kicked out a country that was taxing us.......look at our taxes now!

Thanksgiving= a celebration of English people trading with the Natives.....and giving them diseases that wiped out a good share of their population and culture.

Any more "holy days" that you want my 2 cents on? :clown: :jestercolor:

Hmmm, that gives me a great idea for getting my e-zwider papers thru customs without raising any suspicions. I'll just copy the entire Bible on rice papers...well, maybe not the entire Bible, but I figure up thru Ecclesiastes should tide me over.

I just want to give thanks for not living in one of those countries where the rabble celebrate every occasion by indiscrimately firing AK-47 bursts into the air! :yipes:

I spent these holidays very simple and did not do something special. Honestly I spent New Year, Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays at Disney property with my wife and son because my son really loves the WDW.

Best Regards,
