Jamaican Coffee Question

Postby ECO » Mon Feb 23, 2009 6:39 pm

Jamaica is home to some of the finest coffee in the world..... so why do so many places serve instant coffee? I never had a cup of real Jamaican coffee until I was at the airport waiting for my flight home!

The instant coffee was fine but the Blue Mountain coffee was excellent!

Jamaicans aren't big on hot drinks. They usually only drink them when they're ill

I always bring a few bags of Blue Mountain coffee home--for myself and as gifts for friends/family. There's no question that Blue Mountain coffee is supreme, but the coffee I had in the Dominican Republic was simply exquisite. I think the brand name was Santo Domingo. Also the DR's national beer, Presidente, is excellent. I'd revisit the DR again if for no other reason than to savor the pleasure of having my room fridge refilled with those little bottles of Presidente each day.
