A charter taxi is one where you organise and agree a price with the driver to take you and bring you back usually used on trips out.

A route taxi are like our black cabs. They're regulated.

Oh my, they still make blacks ride in different cabs in your country? (kidding)

By regulated do you mean they follow rules or that they have the meters so you pay by time/distance?

Out of all of the places I've traveled to, Washington DC is my favorite for taxi's. They have a big map that is separated into zones so you know as soon as you get in what your fare will be. While I find it fun to haggle I prefer up front pricing.

Route taxis are cheaper in my experience. You just have to figure out where they are going to be and where they are going. That is always a fun guessing game.

jammies blog (oops I mean Teef) will tell you all you need to know about taxis - but as the point in this section was to give users on the spot info here goes:-

- only get in a car with a red number plate (they are licensed taxis) many ordinary cars will offer you a ride masquerading as a taxi - its your risk but personally i like living.
- use jamaican dollars or you will get the piss ripped out of you even more than usual for being farrin.
- you can probably get from negril to kingston on less than $2000 Jamaican dollars (bus route) so if someone is charging you that to go a mile know that your getting ripped off.
- understand that route taxis stick to the route out of consideration for other passengers. so if you want taking into the car park of Ricks Cafe it will cost you half a fortune more than if you just got dropped off by the roadside.
I intrigue more people in real life than I do in cyberspace. What I WILL do is to capitalize on their attraction to me.If I set out to take advantage of anyone's attraction, its simply for the benefit of God's kingdom.People such as myself, whether we try or not, will always radiate some kinda attraction that men find alluring.my message to those who find it annoying "Don't hate".
