Life of crime

Postby Nanoose » Wed Nov 25, 2009 2:29 pm

When I was a youth and a young man my birth family thought that I was gifted
and special – they had hopes and dreams that I would be the first member of the
family to get their picture hanging in the post office amongst the 10 most wanted.
I am not sure if it was because I knew I couldn’t live up to their expectations of
me or because I met a good woman but one morning I woke up and got an
honest 90 cents an hour job.
A little good comes out of ever thing bad – in my case it was I built up some mussels during my life of crime (TVs and appliances were heavier in those days).
And my experiences helped steer my sons and some of their friends away from a life of crime. Cheers!

What's pushing us apart isn't loneliness what's holding us together isn't love. Listen to the man who's been touched all his life yes he's the one they call the fool. Where is that savoir of the sidewalk life and the road that takes us to the crusades? We still got along way to go yes we still got a along way to go.

Nanoose 90 cents an hour, what period was this?
Crime doesn't pay, good to know you choose a different path

It was in the late 70s what I think is kind of funny is the job was at a
K-mart store so I had all this merchandise around me and tempting me.
Shortly after that the good woman and I moved to Manitoba and I got a job in
a underground nickel mine. Eventually I became a chute blaster and that was kind of tempting too because I had access to explosives and sometimes I thought that if I stole some I could get into the safe cracking business and make my parents proud of me again.
(they disowned me when I went straight)
If you were to do a Web search for the history of illegal gambling houses in Windsor Ontario
(in the Windsor Star news paper archive you will find an article about my Grandfather curly Gardner who started it all in 40s and 50s) – that’s my roots
Cheers!

Lol, I was feeling like I was in a mob family today when my kids forgot to but some stuff on the tray so I could pay when we ate lunch at the museum of science. Your family sounds much more exciting!

GG has the best "life of crime" stories! My lips are zipped out of fear that she will come and ############# if I ever tell anyone about them.

The reason why I never fessed up to my kids not putting their stuff on the tray was that I didn't want to get the Hispanic cashier in trouble. :bs:
