A Man With His Donkey Car

Postby ECO » Tue Apr 27, 2010 11:01 pm

While scooting along on my motor scooter at the Goshen River town line I saw a man with a donkey car. I quickly pulled over to take a couple of pictures and made a quick get away before he could charge me a "picture tax". A few hundred yards up the road I stopped at a little bar and was complaining about how the guy who owns the house in front of where I parked wanted a picture tax, the bar owner claimed that the donkey car man was her uncle. A few minutes later the donkey man passed the bar so I ran out to take some video of him but he saw me......tax time!

I'll post the video later, for now look at the alignment of his tires in the first two pictures:

Too bad he didn't hear about the Cash for Clunkers program before it went bankrupt.

What's with the picture tax ECO? I didn't know you have to pay tax just to take pictures of random people.

Picture tax= locals hitting a tourist up for money for taking there picture. I have only seen it in tourist areas and it sort of shocked me to get taxed just a few miles from Sav where not many tourist are roaming around. Of course you don't really have to pay the tax but it's a nice gesture if you interrupt people so you can take pictures.

I paid the tax to have a young man walk down a flight of stairs on his hands so I could film it, I'll post the video later in the week.

Tax= a beer, water or couple hundred J.

I didn't even know they had donkeys in Jamaica. I heard about a donkey show in Tijuana, but despite two visits there never did find it. :scratchheadblue:
