Men's Suits Cotton or Wool

Postby ECO » Sat Sep 12, 2009 1:02 pm

This might not be the best place to ask this since we don't have any Jamaican men as members but.........:

Seeing as how Jamaica is hot and I need to wear a suit jacket for a few hours, would a cotton or wool jacket keep me cooler and dryer?

I don't know what you've heard about Hedo II, but I don't think wool jackets are mandatory.

You could wear wool, if you want, if you're a masochist. Not that I'd ever criticize someone for being a masochist--after all, I stayed in the hell of a miserable marriage for 13 years.

ECO I would suggest you wear cotton, it keeps you much dryer than wool.
But if you choose to wear wool you won't burn to death because people wear leather in Jamaica.

Ok, thanks. It looks like I will bring my cotton (linen) suit jacket down. Still can't get over the thought of a neck tie in that heat.

I would assume if I sweat.......like I do in Jamaica all the time that my jacket would end up wet but such is life.

I burn to death in just a tee shirt if I'm not in the shade.

Hello friend,
I always believe that whatever you wear you will look cool only if you are comfortable that and if you are not comfortable and don't know how to carry it then it will look awkward on you and you will not look cool as well.
Well you can wear both whether it is cotton suit or wool suit...I have collection of some unique Suits For Men..if you want you can go through may be you will get some pattern of your choice. But if there is hot whether then try to wear cotton suit jacket..it will make you feel comfortable.

Awhile back I read your very first post on JAB and wondered if one of my post titled – “You can call me fancy pants” was related. It was basically about my virgin wool pants and my three piece suites from the fashion designer ‘Moore “ Ever bodies crazy for a sharp dressed man. Cheers!
What's pushing us apart isn't loneliness what's holding us together isn't love. Listen to the man who's been touched all his life yes he's the one they call the fool. Where is that savoir of the sidewalk life and the road that takes us to the crusades? We still got along way to go yes we still got a along way to go.
