Musical Spoons

Postby Nanoose » Sun Dec 20, 2009 9:25 pm

The playing of spoons" originated in Ireland as "playing the bones" in which
the convex sides of a pair of sheep rib bones were rattled in the same way as spoons.
In the United States spoons as an instrument are associated with American folk music, minstrelsy, and jug and spasm bands. These musical genres make use of everyday objects as instruments, such as the washboard and the jug
Spoons are used as a makeshift percussion instrument (more specifically) an
idiophone related to castanets.

What's pushing us apart isn't loneliness what's holding us together isn't love. Listen to the man who's been touched all his life yes he's the one they call the fool. Where is that savoir of the sidewalk life and the road that takes us to the crusades? We still got along way to go yes we still got a along way to go.
