Eco, Jamaica Miss is the one who suggested Canoe for the link-up. And I have a feeling I'm gonna be eternally grateful that she recommended it. And LS's comment about smokin ganja on the couch did not go unnoticed by moi.

I think we might get all that we wanted out of Rick's Cafe without being at a f-ing tourist hangout! The ocean, the sunset, good food, great prices, ganja friendly, plus having locals (Ja Miss) and LS who use to be a local of sorts...........man, we should be in for a good time!

I have to stop looking at that menu, it's making me hungry!

Ah man I'm so happy for you all and envious too. Kirby's canadian wife Patty is great fun too if she happens to be there. Some of the people I hung around with last winter may still be there too. Tell Kirby I sent you there and he will be the perfect host. If only I had the money I would definitely be there. However I will be there in spirit - naked on the beach with Wahoo, sprawled on the couches smoking weed and sitting on the deck listening to the ocean and looking into the darkness where the sea meets the night sky - beautiful memories. JaMiss is a firecracker and takes no nonsense - but shes not a party girl so will probably have gone home with Ted by the time your all even warming up.

Too bad Eco won't have his boat in Jamaica. We could sail over to Cuba for a couple of mojitos & be back in Negril in time to catch the sunset.

I'll already be warmed up when the Ochi contingent pick me up at my hotel Saturday afternoon. But I'm not a party girl, either. I'll probably be passed out on the floor at Canoe, and they'll have to throw water in my face to wake me up to watch the sunset.

aww damn! now I definitely wish I was gonna be there so I could pass out too. alternatively I could post some pics and you can pretend I was passed out when they were taken.

I dont think your gonna struggle to get bob marley played over there.

The last time I went I only heard his music once and that was at his burial place up in Nine Mile. Everyone was listening to Reggae but not Bob Marley.

Jim Morrison & The Doors are great, I like their live music much more than their studio stuff.

My reception party Saturday afternoon. Eco, JamCan, and Ash drove over from Runaway Bay/Ocho Rios (joined by Jamaica Miss and Ted, who live in Negril) to pick me up at my hotel in Negril, and we headed to Canoe Bar & Grill for an afternoon of good eats, camaraderie, and drunken excess. While Ashley was hitting on their driver, Wahoo proceeded to embarass himself by falling into the sea fully clothed. It wasn't Wahoo's proudest hour.
