Next time you're at Alfred's try the fish & chips--those lightly battered & wonderfully seasoned fresh fish fillets are indescribably delicious! Seems like it takes forever for it to be prepared, but the wait is worth it.

Our last tour of Negril therefore we visited to the Jungle night club at 11: 00pm. At that time the area was crowded and we really enjoyed there. We left at 12:30 am and this place was still busy.

The Jungle is on my list of places to see when I'm back in Negril. It's suppose to be a couple of doors down from where I'm staying so I can stumble home at night.

Eco, haven't been to the Jungle (not Wahoo's cup of tea), but it's close to where I stayed, and if it's just a couple of doors down from where you'll be staying in April, you must try the patties at Miss Sonia's (across the street and a short walk up Manley Blvd from Alfreds). Try the ackee pattie.

:bs: The jungle would be perfect for you! After that you could go to Scrub a Dub or Rub a Dub (forget the name) it's a car wash by day and a gentleman's club at night...so they say, I stay away from those places.

I'll try the ackee pattie, I really don't have many options since I gave up eating meat and shellfish...

The Jungle, in Mariner's Negril Beach Club is the most crowded, horny, exuberant, and famous dance club in Negril, with a penchant for attracting sports and music-industry celebrities. (Even trash-TV king Jerry Springer did a turn here.) Its slogan? "Unleash the Animal." The scene gets so mobbed during spring break that movie crews have actually flown in from the United States to film it. Most of the perspiration here is spilled on the ground level, where four bars and dance floors rock and roll with music that varies according to the night's individual theme. Head for the upper level for the much-needed "cool-downs" that, at least here, have developed into a laid-back art form all their own. Red Stripe and rum punches are the drinks of choice for a crowd that really seems to enjoy their estrogen and testosterone highs. Fortunately, security here at least appears to be tight, with a prominent sign in front that declares NO PROSTITUTES OR GIGOLOS, NO DRUGS, NO SOLICITING, NO MISCONDUCT, and a forbidding-looking bar that locks the place up tighter than a jail during off-hours. The cover charge is US$9 (£4.50) for men (referred to on signs at the entrance as "Tarzans") and US$7 (£3.50) for women (referred to as "Janes"). The Jungle Arcade is a gaming room with around 100 slot machines. The club is open Wednesday to Saturday 8:30pm until the last patron staggers back to his or her hotel.

Lol Nightstar, the Jungle attracts 90% (a guess) of the working men an women.....sex workers on every night that it is open. I'll wager any amount of money that anyone regardless of looks could walk in with a fresh $100 bill asking for sex and a crowd would form around him or her. With that said, the family that owns it is a great family and really supports the tourism trade in Negril......good people not getting in the way of supporting the local sex workers and tourist out to have a good time.
