Once an Islander always an Islander

Postby Nanoose » Sat Oct 03, 2009 11:14 pm

Today well I was helping the grocery deliver guy bring the supplies in the house we talked about our sons that have left the Island. I eventually told him that my youngest son had bought a house in Saskatchewan and sometimes I wonder if he will ever come back here to live. The guy said – once an Islander always an Islander - he will be back. And I find it quite a comforting thought. To be on the safe side – tomorrow when I phone my son in Saskatchewan I will ask him what his weather is like and he tells me 4 below – I will tell him its sunny and warm on the Island. Cheers and happy week end!
What's pushing us apart isn't loneliness what's holding us together isn't love. Listen to the man who's been touched all his life yes he's the one they call the fool. Where is that savoir of the sidewalk life and the road that takes us to the crusades? We still got along way to go yes we still got a along way to go.

Well the capital city of Saskatchewan is Regina – would you like to live there?
Right now it’s like 4 below zero there so you probably wouldn’t like it.

Parts of Saskatchewan are booming right now – partly because of large pot ash deposits
and partly because of the name of Saskatchewan’s capital city.

For about a year now Canadians have been migrating to Saskatchewan and along the way they sing a song to the tune of Frank Zappa’s – Moving to Montana soon except theirs
goes like this –

Moving to Regina soon – going to be a pot ash tycoon.

Cheers!
