Ganja Stories

Postby Nanoose » Tue Sep 15, 2009 8:40 pm

During the 80s and 90s there was a recession on Vancouver Island and I couldn’t find work
so I started growing outdoor pot. Once after a hard night of pushing my product at the bar
I was on my way home and thought that I better go down the ally and take a leak before
I caught my bus. I was just about done when I heard some one say RCMP – at that time the cops were getting a shoot first and ask questions later reputation so I didn’t want to
make no sudden moves.
When they told me to turn around my pecker was still hanging out – one cop looked at me and then snickered so I said – what its cold outside.
(it was actually a summers night)
They kind of laughed and asked me what I was doing – I said just making a pit stop then
go catch my bus and go home to the “little” woman. They said I could go and I was relieved because if they would of searched me they would of found 4 bagged 1/8th and 6 pieces of different named ID that I took from people for collateral. (people that I gave credit to)

Cheers!

Remind me to tell you about my first 4 hours as a ganja dealer and how it ended before I sold any.......and how a year later I was in the police academy.

BTW, I use the "it's cold in here" excuse in bed at full mast.

Nanoose, where were you when I was in Vancouver a year ago and needed you? Except I don't have any collateral unless you'll accept a $25 Hooters gift card with a $6.41 balance left on it.

Well probably in my office at the Rod and Gun tavern listening to Doug and the Slugs.
Actually I stopped dealing years ago because I had a feeling my # was coming
up - but a Hooters card just might be enough to get me back in the bizz.
Cheers!

My nick name used to be James Brown because I was the hardest working man in
District 69 on Vancouver Island that was in the out door pot grow biz.
I grew it – I packaged it - I pushed it – I did the book keeping and I colleted the I.O.Us.
When I retired from the out door pot growing biz I got board so I got into real estate.
What I did was sell the global position of the spots I used to grow my pot on – they were all on BC Crown land and technically not mine but they sold like hot cakes.

There was a lot of work put into each spot (rain barrels – soil est.) so I figured I should get something for them.
They all went to a good buddy at a bargain price and hopefully in a couple of more years I will be handing him my James Brown cape. Cheers!

When I grew pot in the wilds of BC I trained my partner in crime (my dog) to give me an early warning if the police helicopter was coming.
Once it really came in handy when I was relaying buckets of water to one of my spots – Sundance let me know a helicopter was coming so I had plenty of time to hid my buckets in the brush and then run to the tree line and hid. If the helicopter had spotted me or the buckets in the middle of no were they would of hovered around and found my spot. Cheers!

Here is a link to a photo of a police helicopter pilot and a Vancouver Island pot plant.

Another one of my ganja related nic – names was the Ginger Bread Man.
Because once I was walking down a logging road with a back pack full
of freshly harvested bud and I seen 2 cops on ATVs coming my way – so
I ran and ran as fast as I can and they couldn’t catch me because I was the
Ginger Bread Man. Cheers and happy week end!

LMAOooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Ganja stories. Ive quit. I used to smoke everyday for 4 years. 16-20.

My most interesting was when I went to JA my first time and it was my second night. 2 years ago.
I had decided I would smoke with my Grandpa, My Uncle Maurice, and Babylove was there to.
They asked me how I was liking Jamaica so far and I was explaining how I didnt like certain things about Jamaica.
But there country was beautiful.

Than they all started talking to me about everything and politics, but really fast and in patois.
Being my first trip I had never had that interaction, and I was high as a kite.

I tripped out so bad I had to go to bed lmao!!!

My dream is that some fine day my sons future kids will come over and smoke a
dobbie with good old grandma and grand pa. Curious what language patois. Is.
And if there is a old fort in Mammee Bay that played a large part in Canadian history. (I will probably google it) Cheers!

It's how some Jamaicans speak English. From my experience it is used more away from the tourist areas......or at least some vendors in the tourist areas try to speak the English that we are more use to. It's sort of like Chinese, the more you smoke the better you understand it........just don't try to speak it unless you want all the Jamaicans around you to burst out in laughter.

Well if I ever get a chance to visit Jamaica I want to go to the places away from the tourist areas so I better learn the language.
I made a post today in the music section it was a Jamaican group and it made me figure if I listen to more Jamaican music I will understand the language, Cheers!

Nanoose, listening to the music helps or at least it helped me. If you can't figure out some of the words the girls on here can help you out with them.

Here are a few words to get you started:

English Word------ Jamaican Word

Joint ------ Spliff

Rolling papers ------ Rizzlas (a brand name that everyone likes)

Kind ------ High Grade

Garbage ----- Tourist weed

Bad price ----- Sucker/tourist price

A few Christmas seasons ago I bought a bunch of half price Christmas candles at the dollar store to give out as gifts to people I knew in town. One of these people was a guy who was disabled and in a wheel chair. He was in the pot business and had a lot of nice stuff so I felt a bit bad when I gave him a couple half price Christmas candle.
A few days after that I went to visit him again and he told me that the candles I gave him almost caused his house to burn down. The wax was cheap so it flared up – caught some news paper on fire and started spreading. Because the guy was in a wheel chair he had a hard time battling the fire and it started to get pretty big. Luckily a couple of his customers showed up and helped put out the fire.
If the fire department had been called this guy wouldn’t of been in the pot business any more because they would of found his grow show and called the cops.
A few people in town started joking that I gave him the cheap dangerous candles on purpose to get his customers. I didn’t and I did go around and warn ever one not to light their candles. Cheers and merry Christmas!
