I have 3 good things to share today.

1st After 30 years my wife has finally learned how to make baked molasses pork and beans. She used to use bacon strips but this time she used a big piece of salted pork fat.

2nd Arnold Swarchinager has a new knick name – The Torchinator because he carried
the Olympic torch. He was also talking about a high speed transportation system between California and Vancouver. He also said something that made sense to me – “a good economy depends on a transportation system that moves goods and people quickly”.

3rd Tomorrow there is a full moon so it will be the ideal time to start germinating some ganja seeds plus it will also be valentines day so I will also be planting 2 lips – I mean tulips. Cheers and happy week end!

I got three things to rejoice about, too.

My grandson--the blizzard baby--is 1 week old and thriving.

Tomorrow--Valentine's Day--is younger son's 20th birthday.

Elder son--the Marine--has orders to the Army's jump school at Ft. Benning. He's gonna jump out of C-130's and get his paratrooper wings. :dreads:

I'm heading down to spend the night on my boat.....after working on my taxes for the past few day I need a break. Hopefully the little devil in me will not cut my dock lines and point the boat toward warmer waters, white sand beaches and other relaxing things that sound good right now.

Ya but what if you wind up getting a job with that Chief Ramsey from the TV show?
Actually I just thought I should say – in one hand preparing food can be an art and it is very satisfying knowing you quenched someone’s hunker. But in the other hand my eldest son is a Baking Chief and the stories he told me about the arrogance of some chiefs and having to work under them in the kitchen would curl your hair.

Now the delicate part

It cost my son thirty thousand dollars to get his Chief papers ( as far as I’m concerned it should of been paid for by the BC Government because he is now providing a valuable and delicious service to society ) but he has always worked since he got this papers. Cheers!

PS: I just noticed that this was posted a while back so I am figuring that “surly” by now you would of made an update about your decision and maybe you could now reply by saying well I do have an update but don’t call me “Shirely” Cheers!

Today I learnt a little Japanese – now I know that in Japan they call the city of Nanaimo
“7 potatoes”. The good thing is that now I can make fun of the city of Nanaimo in Japanese. I avoid that city because it’s too big and skuzzy for my taste and I don’t want to be there when it sinks. 7 potatoes is built on top of old under ground coal mines and surly one day the old timbers are going to give. Cheers!

Back in the gym two hours a day after work, five days a week. I don't know how long i'll keep it up, maybe till September. Maybe, wouldn't bet my last dime on it.

Today I started working on my 2011 – 2012 fire wood its maple so it puts out a lot of BTUs. It takes me about a year to get the 6 cords I need for a winter so that’s why I start so early did a ¼ 0f a cord today so only 5 and ¾ more cords to go. Cheers!

I just made a new thread titled tell me something bad.
The good thing is I was able to fit in another I plant 2 lips - I mean tulips for a living joke.
( I’m going for the world record for telling I plant 2 lips – I mean tulips jokes on the Internet.).

Cheer and happy week end!
