Bug repellent and sunscreen

Does anyone know if they sell bug repellent and sunscreen as a two in one product in Jamaica? If not, can you recommend a good brand that I should bring from home?

I want to say "Bullfrog" makes a product that covers both but I'll check and post again in this thread.

I keep hearing about taking vitamin B1 to keep the bugs away but drinking overproof works for me. I can't confirm (but I'm going to try) wiping overproof on my legs to keep them away----they don't like the smell and once it dries humans can't (?) smell it.

Jamaican rum punch might work, too. The Arawak, the aboriginal inhabitants of Jamaica, combated the mosquito problem by rubbing something red all over their bodies. Rum punch is red. And if that doesn't work against the mosquitoes, you can always invite the person next to you to do some body shots.

Here you go, it's DEET free and waterproof. I tried to Google to see if they sell it in Jamaica and this thread came up in the search results....I would suggest just bringing some down with you to be on the safe side.

Does anyone have information on whether vitamin B1 is useful in repelling any particular bugs?

I just wanted add that I used bug spray without DEET and only got a few sand flea bites on my ankles and lower legs. I tried the over proof rum thing and I think it works....but I only tested it one night when I forgot my bug spray.

Mineral baths will clear up bug bites quick time!

Stai, I was on a multi vitamin before my trip but it did not contain B1 so I can't attest to how well it works. I know others who swear by it so I'll test it on my next trip.
