Complimenting strangers

Postby GhettoGurl » Thu Oct 22, 2009 8:22 am

I know I know.. GG has gone mad tuh r@ss LOL... but here is my story :-P

I have developed a couple of strange habbits lately. One of them is that I have an extreme urge to compliment strangers :roulette: It is seriously annoying because sumtimes I embarass myself or the people that I am with. But it's like I can't help myself.

The other day I was at a toy store and there was this chubby gurl working the cashier, she looked like she was NOT happy at all, the other staff members were also making fun of her while she was attending to customers and the customers were rude as heck laughing it off. It pissed me off to no extend. But eventhough I was starting to get angry and wanted to slap people I couldnt help but starring at the girl's hair. She had the prettiest thick hair I have ever seen. I normally don't like blond hair but her's was close to perfect! She wasnt treating it very well but I figured maybe if I comment on it she might pay more attention to her hair. In overall the gurl looked like she didnt spend much time looking in a mirror.

I told her out loud that her hair was very pretty and her co-worker scoffed. Which made me wanna pull her by her dried out string that she calls hair and slap her up! The gurl totally blushed and thanked me. I really wasnt TRYING to be nice. I just HAD to tell her.. its the weirdest thing.

I met a tired pregnant lady in the grocery store and was urged to tell her that she looked pretty. I hope I am not mistaken for a lesbian one of these days LOL I dont get the feeling with men though.. It's purily women.

On Sunday's I join my cousins at Salsa sessions and there was this gurl that thought she was heaven sent.. well atleast she wanted us to think that she thinks she's heaven sent... She was really annoying with her attitude however her shoes were totally orgasmic LOL They were so pretty that instead of drop kicking her and stealing her shoes I once again HAD to go over to tell her that her shoes were showstoppers.. I was embarassed myself this time because I really did NOT like her attitude and instead of complimenting her I would have rather taken her out in the parkinglot to whipe (or slap) that smirk off her face. However I stubbled over almost against my own will and told her that those were the prettiest shoes ever! Her attitude quickly changed and the former ho turned into a nice smiling face.

I have been receiving some positive comments from strangers as well.. which is such a great feeling.. so although sumtimes I am embarassed by my own actions.. I know how it feels to receive them now and I guess its worth it

Have you ever had the urge to comment strangers on anything about them? Did you ever do it? What was the response?
Ever gotten compliments from a stranger?

Excellent – a little complement can make some ones day – they are addictive you complement some then they complement some one and so on and so on. Keep up the good work. Cheers!

PS – thank you for the name Afro Man – I found the vid and was delighted to
see silent Bob and his buddy in it.
What's pushing us apart isn't loneliness what's holding us together isn't love. Listen to the man who's been touched all his life yes he's the one they call the fool. Where is that savoir of the sidewalk life and the road that takes us to the crusades? We still got along way to go yes we still got a along way to go.

GG, I would try it but I don't really enjoy being around people or talking to them most of the time 8-) For example, if I go to the store to shop for food that is why I'm there not to make small talk with anyone. Standing in line while I have nothing else to do is a different story, generally I'll chat it up with people to pass time but I have never felt the need to compliment them in any fashion.

When I'm away from home to relax (hiking, kayaking, sailing and sitting at a bar it's a different story, I'm really outgoing but other than complimenting people for their thoughts or actions I still refrain from complimenting them on their material possessions or personal hygiene.

If we can bend the rules to compliment people that are not strangers.........

Ashley, you look perfect in all of your photos, I think you missed your calling in life....maybe a model?

Wahoo, a great guy to drive around with............brings a shovel and machete but forgot the lime so I was able to live to tell about it.

GG, my favorite online chat buddy even though we always chat when the other person is off line.

Nanoose, my daily reminder that others exist with a.......um.......creative mind

Rose & Jels, two other rated R people that are able to post in a PG fashion.

Lady Sizzla, a one in a million person who lives her life without regard to what others think of her path.......has a bigger set of balls than I've ever seen on a man  I miss her, we need to get her active over here.

JamaicaSteve, what an a&&hole, goes to Jamaica without bringing any of us..........kidding as he seems to be a stand up guy.

Tinks, one of the most charming people I've met in person & she is the heartbeat of this site.

I'll have to edit in the people I've forgotten.

Ashley, thanks for the comment on my avatar. The guy in the other half of the photo (body cropped out) is looking for a GF from CA or the US if you know anyone. He's an excellent cook, speaks Patois slow enough for people to understand, has a great smile and has a good heart (Rasta).

It's not a shovel, it's a U.S. Army E-tool (entrenching tool). Great for digging fightin' holes and for swinging as a formidable weapon in hand-to-hand combat when you've out of ammo. My cousin's (ex)husband, who was in Detriot's bad side of town in the late sixties, gave it to me. It's gotten my car unstuck in deep snow/ice a few times, too.

Don't be silly I use to own one as a kid and I know they are for hiding people that upset you. 8-) Speaking of which we should of paid my ex wife a visit since she lives a little south of Leesburg. :clown:

You don't need an E-tool to hide people who upset you...

How to compliment an old geezer:

* Tell him he doesn't look a day over 59.

* Tell him his tufts of ear hair make him look "distinguished."

* Tell him if you were only 30 years younger, you'd eff him like an animal...no, wait, that's my pickup line... ;-)
