96 Degrees in the Shade...

Postby Wahoo » Sun Jun 27, 2010 11:57 am

Actually, today it's more like 100 degrees in the shade. So hot! Too hot to do anything. Just got home from visiting my widowed mother. Did some yardwork around her house yesterday...so hot! Did some painting (no, not self-portraits or landscapes...I'm talking about house painting) this morning while it was cool, before the sun was high in the sky and the temps shot up.

Gotta go and try to beat the heat with a nice frosty cold beer. Maybe I'll go out later for a couple of cool summer drinks--vodka collins or mojito maybe.

Lol, your winter was cold and snowy and now your summer is hot..........I don't miss VA weather at all.

I do miss the food & southern women.....except my ex wife and her mother.

Weather forecasters say it'll be 100 degrees, with humidity to match, tomorrow in our nation's capital. Hard to believe that just a few months ago we had record back-to-back blizzards that shut down the federal government (and everything else) for a week! But week after week of mid-90's or higher temps...it's almost like living in frickin Corpus Christi Texas! Right now, I think I'd trade this extreme heat & humidity for another couple of record-busting blizzards. Come on Autumn!!!

Which raises the question: What did Obama do for golf during the months the ground was packed by blizzard snow? He's played something like 71 rounds of golf since his inauguration as the Pres. How many people do you know who's played 71 rounds of golf this year? Everybody I know is too busy working and paying taxes to play golf!

I’m started to look forward to autumn too at least you can bundle up and not be wet or cold. I get a bit of shade at work but I have been pitying those road repair flag people or roofers. Cheers!
What's pushing us apart isn't loneliness what's holding us together isn't love. Listen to the man who's been touched all his life yes he's the one they call the fool. Where is that savoir of the sidewalk life and the road that takes us to the crusades? We still got along way to go yes we still got a along way to go.
