Planning a Trip to Jamaica

Postby ECO » Mon Feb 23, 2009 5:50 pm

When you plan a trip to Jamaica, do you:

1. Book your flight and lodging at the same travel website.

2. Book each one wherever you find the cheapest rates.

3. Book your flight and then stay with friends or directly contact your favorite place to stay.

When it comes to packing your clothes for a trip to Jamaica, do you:

1. Check the weather and pack accordingly.

2. Fill your suitcase full of clothes at random and hope for the best.

3. Take the time to plan all of your changes and carefully pack with tons of thought.

How do handle your money when you travel to Jamaica?

1. Carry a little pocket cash as use a ATM whenever you run dry.

2. Bring a crap load of money and when it runs out panic.

3. Put a fixed amount in an envelope that it marked for each day of your vacation.

For Jamaica travelers who need hi tech stuff, do you;

1. Throw all of your stuff in a suitcase and "figure it out" when you need film, memory cards, batteries and other stuff.

2. Throw a ton of extra batteries, memory cards and other stuff in a bag and hope you have enough.

3. Carefully plan your requirements and pack just enough of everything.

I bring two large memory cards for my good camera and will generally download them to my computer every day. Since the batteries are $70 each I only own two of them and they can last a week without any problems. I have two batteries for my Mac but since I use it to charge my Ipod and keep my travel logs along with using it on the flight down it is dead after a few days. I'm thinking about bringing an inverter down so I can charge my laptop in my friends van--we don't have public utilities where I stay.

For clothes, I generally will wear a pair of pants and a pull over, every thing else is shorts and tee shirts. Depending on where I travel I will not bring clothes at all in some cases if they are cheaper to buy once I get there.

For travel I'll generally book my flight only at amex.com in order to use my points.

I had the same trouble with my Ipod - drove me crazy. Even my hairdryer went at snails pace. But now I have GHD straighteneres i've been told that they work on any current at the same heat.
I intrigue more people in real life than I do in cyberspace. What I WILL do is to capitalize on their attraction to me.If I set out to take advantage of anyone's attraction, its simply for the benefit of God's kingdom.People such as myself, whether we try or not, will always radiate some kinda attraction that men find alluring.my message to those who find it annoying "Don't hate".

I'm leery of those room safes, so every night, when no one's strolling on the beach, I dig a hole in the sand and bury my wallet in it. Then early the next morning, while everybody's sleeping in, I run out to the beach and dig up my wallet. Makes me feel sort of like a pirate hiding by booty.

That's an awful lot of work, though, so I'm looking into getting one of those "plans" like everybody was sticking up their keisters in the movie Papillon. Anyone know where I can get one of those? Urban?

Lol, I've stored mine in under the carpet in hotel rooms. Generally I can find a seam close to the bed or in a closet and it works like a charm. Actually I should keep my mouth shut about this or every hotel that I've done it to is going to come after me for new carpet.

I like your beach idea but a wooden crate is needed to make it a real pirates chest.....maybe some fake gold chains and treasure maps.
