Prepaying For Digicel Phones Minutes

Where do you prepay for your Digicel phone minutes?

I've noticed that there are more than one place to do it, are some places cheaper?

Is it possible to buy minutes from your phone with a credit card?

Off topic but where on your phone will it show you how many minutes you have left?

i get my mins online ezetop.com or buy them at a payment.

You should be able to buy them where you get top-up they have to look on machine for international top up and then it should have digicell jamaica - that's how they do it in the UK.

Jellybean I was checking out ezetop.com while you were posting and I'm not sure if they take a cut or if they just use a crappy conversion rate:

USD $5.00
JMD $371.6 inc. GCT
(JMD $309.67 mobile credit)

If I'm reading this correctly, $5USD will get me $310 JMD. At an 85 to 1 conversion rate I should be getting $425 so 25% of my money vanishes by using them or my math is off?

The rate link is good!

None of that explains why they give such a horrible exchange rate. I think the digicel exchange rate is the same as the other company:

$4.35=Digicel account will receive JMD $360 inc. GCT (JMD $300 mobile top up)

I guess they make their monet by charging us for the convenience of using it!

I'm wondering if it would just be better to pay them in JMD to save on paying them their wacky 25% juice on the foreign exchange rate.

They even sell them in the bars, supermarkets and pharmacies.

Don't fret.

Lol, I feel like such a noob/newbie! At home I just pay $210 a month for 5 lines (our home line is one) and I can talk for as long as I want and surf the internet on my Iphone for as long as I want.
