Pushy travel agents!

Postby Wahoo » Thu Apr 30, 2009 8:32 pm

Got a follow-up e-mail yesterday from my travel agent asking how the last trip went, and I gave her a glowing report and thanked her for all her help with the reservations. I thought that was the end of it.

But today it was one e-mail after another from her. "How about Punta Cana?" she asked. I reminded her that she booked my trip to Punta Cana 3 years ago and that I had a terrific stay there, but I waxed eloquent about my love for Jamaica and the vibe of the island and the great food and on and on.

She e-mailed again an hour later. "How about a cruise?" she asked. I explained I'm probably not a cruise person, that I was on an 8-day cruise in the Pacific once and was wretchedly seasick for 5 straight days of it (it was on an aircraft carrier doing zig-zag maneuvers--a standard strategy to evade torpedoes, attacks from enemy warships and bombers, etc--but I digress).

She e-mailed back, "We'll find something for you, when you're ready with the dates."

My problem, I realize, is I just can't say no to a woman...

Just tell her that you feel that her e-mailing you all the time must be because she is horny for you. She will either leave you alone or maybe you will get laid.

Might I ask why you still use a travel agent and not the internet to book your vacations?

Two reasons: (1) I'm basically lazy and (2) maybe subconsciously I'm hoping that if I stick with her I will get laid.

Getting her on her knees is half the battle, Wahoo.

If she is uncomfortable on her knees let her know that you might accept her on her back.....the keyword is MIGHT.

She told me, "We need to find you some different destinations." It almost seems as if she's anti-Jamaica, but it's understandable, I guess, if you consider that she's a "specialist" in the Bahamas, Punta Cana (thus, the push for Punta Cana), and cruises. Actually, I would like to do the Bahamas at least once, but I keep hearing the siren call of Jamaica.

I must say, though, that the packages she's arranged for me have always gone smoothly and flawlessly (including airport transfers, arrival/departure taxes, etc). And I have had excellent vacations at the places she recommended in Montego Bay, Cancun, and Punta Cana.
