I been wondering the same ting. Giving up meat, I can understand, I guess, but giving up fish and other seafood! :yipes: I can't imagine going to Jamaica and not partaking of all that delicious, scrumptious Jamaican seafood dishes!

I guess Ital food and maybe some punani  :jestercolor:

Actually, it should be easier than sourcing food "at home". Here it's a bitch eating out when there are not many non meat options on menus. At home I just eat rice, rice, fruits, veggies, salad, more rice, more salad.......... once a week or so I have some fish. Honestly, the only good meal I eat out is at the local Jamaican place where I order the Rasta man Special and the owner asks tells me every time that it doesn't have any meat.....she can't tell us white folks apart

Plus, giving up meat is not something new for me, I gave up dead cow and dead pig last summer. I just gave up dead chickens 2-3 months ago....if I could only find a way to eat them while they are still alive :jestercolor: The ONLY thing I miss is pig....jerk pork, bacon, sausage, pork loin, pigs feet.....

Plus plus........I'm on a tight budget this trip and I can eat Ital food for small money compared to cow and pig that costs $$. Granted I've had good luck getting chicken, rice and peas for $300 at roadside places in the past.

I wonder if they have good tofu and soy products in Jamaica?

Oh my, My French might be off a little, I thought in Greek it meant pancakes with bananas topped with a mix of honey and molasses.

Rose, not many porks.....except them heifers from the US, Uk and Canada......but I'm not one to pick on farrin swine....not on the Sabbath.
