I was disturbed to see on the news about some other arsehole (usually of the male variety) who reacted to being dumped by his gf by pouring petrol in her letterbox and setting fire to her house, burning her little daughter to death in the process. oh so thats fair play eh? fornicating without passion arsehole. i'm not saying that women dont react in extreme ways at times but why is it that men in particular are more likely to: kill their loved ones, kill themselves, and often in the most dramatic violent manner. it makes me wonder if men are really the weaker sex because they cant take extremes of emotion? but does reaction to inability to cope have to result in death?

It makes me wonder too. I know of two males who have taken their own lives this year due to relationship issues.
In one case he took his wife and kid. The other case he left his wife and kid to live with that awful memory

So sad.

I know what you mean hun It is very sad and very needless. I just wonder why its more likely to be men.

I think these examples prove my theory that men are perhaps less able to cope with emotional trauma ... the suicide rate is alot higher amongst men also. They just seem to find it more difficult to cope with these kinds of situations. Its terrible though when children are caught up in it and worse still killed because of it.

yep i agree. i dont mind if some loser wants to jump off a tower block, but dont take your kids with you.

Wow I never even thought of that before.. I dont believe in revenge... Brings bad Karma. What kind of revenge would include an innocent child anyways? Thats sick!
