Roadside Food and Beer Salem Jamaica

On my first trip to Jamaica Lord Mellon acted as my guide/escort when we toured the North shore of Jamaica. Now he owns his own shop at the fisherman's beach in Salem Jamaica. With a fresh fish vendor next door to Mellon and his collection of other tasty treats you can count on him to cook you up a nice tasty meal! If you are in the mood for a cold Red Stripe or maybe cases of them he has plenty of stock on hand.

On my first trip I had a sore throat and Mellon made me some fresh tea that cured it. On my most recent trip I was sick as a dog and he once again brewed me up a mix of bush tea and garlic and it cleared me right up! While I'm not sure if Mellon is some sort of a medicine man, I trust him with my health.

BTW, I left Mellon a JAB tee shirt when he was away so he has no clue who it's from. If you stop in and have a tee shirt let him know it was from Charles....you will have to add the bald headed white boy from Boston.

I had some sort of tea on this last trip, too. Didn't do a dayum thing for my throat, but my consciousness went bye-bye for about 5 hours.

Lol, @ your tea!

I tried some fish tea this trip, it was excellent....nice and spicy! One thing to note, it is more like a soup so be careful tilting the cup up as chunks of fish will slide into your mouth.

I find that some of these little places by the side of the road do the best food.

I tried it at a little stand up in Mount Zion (in the hills above Salem). I forget the vendors name but he is leaving Jamaica soon and moving to NY.....I need to find out where so I have a hook up for good food there!
