Signature Links

I sort of have this covered in the rules thread but I touch on the subject here and open it up for discussion.

Signature links: (The stuff at the bottom of your post like links to your site or to a trip count down thingy)

I don't have any problem with people having signature links so long as they are not here just for the links. An example of what I don't want to see is new members with low posts counts leaving links to off topic sites. OR people posting "great topic", "nice idea" type of garbage posts to get more inbound links to their sites.

If active members want to post signature links to their own on/off topic sites then that's fine providing that they are actually active members and are not here just being link whores. An example would be if Tinks wanted links to her website that sold spark plugs-- while most people would not click on the link it would be her right to link to it.

On a side note I've invited a few bloggers here who have Jamaica related sites and if they decide to run signature links their sites are worth checking out.

GamesKing is an example of someone (like me) who uses them to promote his site. At some point I'll edit them out of his signature if he ends up failing to return.
