Sky Auction For Airfare?

I hear everyone raving about http://www.skyauction.com/ for hotel rooms but I don't think I've heard of anyone using them for airfare. At face value the airfare opening bids seem like a good detail but the added fees make the prices less than a deal in my opinion.

Has anyone here used them and if so how much did you save?

Somehow a $80 min bid turns into $280 with all of the fees! The last time I checked, I can go anywhere and get a ticket for the same price.

I spent some more time on their site last night and some of the hotels auctions pull the same crap. I know a few people here have used them with good results and I'm glad they got a really good deal even with the fees............ but it's not working in my case.
