As an opponent of speed bumps (and speed cameras and stoplight cameras and other erosions of our civil liberties), I must say the number of speed bumps in that pic is absolutely ridiculous and an unconscionable abuse and waste of taxpayer money! That's why I'm against higher taxes, because that's the sort of lunacy and wastefulness that higher taxes support.
Case in point: Person I know complained bitterly to the county about the traffic on "his" street (although it's a public street funded and maintained by all tax-payers of the county). Because the squeaky wheel gets greased, the county installed stop signs about every 100 yards on the street to discourage "cut-through" traffic through the complainer's neighborhood. Who do you think was one of the first ones ticketed for running one of the stop signs he demanded be installed? You got to love the irony.
