That’s pretty neat especially when you consider they didn’t have Dremel tools back in those days – must of taking hours to make them by hand. And getting and making the material to tie them on the on the shaft was probably hours of work.
I can only see half the picture and wouldn’t mind seeing the other half if you could post a link to it. Cheers!

No I'm a Cree, if I was a Pequot I would be living on the reservation reaping the benefits of getting a giant check from the casino every year.

Nice picture wahoo!

Nanoose, if you right click on an image you should see a drop down menu and one of the options should be to see the source of the image and that will show you the picture URL....or at least that is how it works on a MAC.

It didn’t work but I copied the pitcher to my desk top and can now see it all.
Cheers and Merry Christmas

Excellent! I drove by two of the sites today in central Va where I found four of them points, and was sorely tempted to stop and see what else the plows have turned up, but it's deer season and I didn't want to get mistooken for a big-ass buck by some drunk hunter with an itchy trigger finger and bad eyesight!

On my drive from central Va back to toothless, slack-jawed NoVa this afternoon, I did glimpse two does running across a field to my right, but my passenger-side window was up and I didn't think I stood a chance of tagging even one of them with my .25 caliber Browning automatic at 70 mph--even with my Marine one-shot-one-kill training...

Wahoo, a Marine sniper that I use to work with in Northern VA use to snipe them with his friends when they had leave. For them it was a contest to see who could shoot them at how far and then factoring in how fast the truck was moving. After deer were no longer a challenge they moved on to other "stuff".......

Eco, if I could figure out a way to smuggle my .25 Browning automatic into Jamaica, I'm thinking how much fun it would be--while all the tourists are flocking to Rick's Cafe--to cruise the backroads plinking at coneys and mongooses. It would be almost like being at home, plinking varmits on the backroads of Virginia.

Well I am a little bit surprised that you would have a weapon that was made over seas and why you would have one that is only accurate within 2 or 3 feet. Just goofing around cheers and happy hunting!

Not proud but I use to hunt song birds with my .25cal! Within 15 yards that thing was dead on.....until I lost it riding a horse in Cross Junction VA. My replacement one jambs after the first or second round and I could not hit a person at 25 yards no matter how big they were.

OK, OK, I guess it does look like a kid's dime store cap gun. A bit heavier. I probably couldn't hit a target at 25 yards, either. Hell, I had a hard enough time hitting a target at 50 yards just to qualify with the military issue .45! I could pluck a hair off a knat's @$$ at 500 yards with an M-14, though. :bs:

A long long time ago when I had to qualify at the popo academy they said we had to be able to hit a center mass 4" wide by 18" or so tall target at 50 yards (strong arm, weak arm, standing, kneeling.....). For months I bought bricks of ammo target shooting until I finally mastered by 38 cal service revolver. On the day of qualifying they reduced the yardage to 25 and used full sized targets.......I was pissed but I scored the only perfect 100 out of all of the people. Funny thing is that I was too young to buy ammo and used up all of my target rounds so I had to beg ammo off of other people. A year later I did a repeat at an academy in VA, 100 rounds in a 10" circle and the douche only counted 99, claiming that I must of missed the 30"x40" target with one...bullshit. With those stories aside, I can't hit the side of a barn at 25 yards with a rifle. I've missed more deer at 200-500 yards than I've shot under those ranges. Oddly enough the same goes for shooting deer with buckshot under 75 yards......missed everyone of them!
