Nope, I'm looking to buy one that they use for sugar cane (I think), it's slightly shorter and it should fit in my luggage so I can bring it home. I was almost tempted to buy a machete at a sporting good store made by Gerber but $40 US when I can buy one for 10-15=no way.

Something good= in 24 hours I'll be up in the sky heading to a warm place

This Board getting un-parked from Big Daddy's Web hoist is a good thing.
So I thank you ECO for renewing it and keeping it spam free.
Well it was parked I amused my self by imagining what a Forum parking lot was like – like what kind of Forum's was JAB parked in between and did the parking lot attendant scratch the fenders while putting it in there even worse maybe some one sneaks in and steals the air bag. Cheers!

Lol, Nanoose I almost lost the URL during the downtime.

MY credit card number changed so my auto-renew for the site failed. I must of missed the e-mail but got a last chance one while in the DR. Then I tried to pay with paypal but I forgot my info and repeated attempts to log into my account got my account but on a security hold. Then....I paid using my american express card and the transaction went through......but AMEX cancelled the payment since I didn't tell them that I was using my credit card in another country.......what a fuc-ing mess.

Popo a much more wholesome choice of word compared to the S word. Kind of remember you saying you don't eat cheese that's always been my cure for the runs. Wondering if now that you have had E-coli you will build a resistance to it or it doesn't work like that because its a parasite. Not sure about this but sometimes a person can feel better by thinking about the well being of others so I'm going to add that this morning we got a belated Christmas card with a $200 Christmas bonus in it.
We are in a position to use half of it for a belated Christmas toy and I'm thinking a pair of night vision googols there on sale for $59 at a store the begins with the W word.

Anyway glad the med's are working. Cheers!

Nanoose, I 've been trying to give up cheese but not doing so well.... I ate everything I could find with cheese in it for a few days since that generally works for me. I think I went 3-4 days not being able to eat.....then I was a cheese eating monster.....but it didn't work. I hate chemical meds but "Imodium A-D" had me laying nice popo logs within a day. I feel like a kid dancing around while singing "I can make solid turds"....

I'm not a Doctor but I'm willing to bet I can't build a resistance to E-Coli since I took the meds. I guess if I had more exposure to it letting my system do it's thing would of been a better way to go in the long run.

Hey, let me know how those cheap night vision goggles work out, I have always wanted a pair!

Bummer. Nothing like the trots to ruin a vacation. Happened to me on my first trip to Cancun in the late eighties. Luckily, it didn't hit till we had returned to BWI and were at the baggage claim, then it hit like a tornado. Was laid out flat, sick as a dog, for the next few days. Thought I was going to die--and, at times, prayed I would. That's the only trip I ever got sick, so I've been lucky in that regard.

It could be worse. At least you didn't step on a sea urchin this time...or get a candiru fish stuck in your urethra...or become host to flesh-eating bacteria.

You know Wahoo I thought I had it bad BUT....a friend of mine and his girlfriend went to the DR the day I returned and the GF got it within 2 days and my friend got it in 4 days. They (wimps) went from the airport to their resort and never left the resort except to fly home.....to be safe :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: I knew before I left home that I had a good chance of getting it and accepted it as a cost of doing business.

Wondering.....I've been to Cancun twice without getting it, how do you think you got it there?

Also....it came back     starting Tuesday night....now I'm popping Imodium A-D again to have solid "movements".

At the time of my first trip to Cancun (in 1988, I think it was), the water (and ice, etc) wasn't safe to drink, and sure enough Montezuma had his revenge on me. At that time, there was also a ridiculous exchange rate--something like 2,300 pesos=US$1--and my pockets were always bulging from all the coins I received in change.

By the time of my second trip to Cancun (early 2000's), there'd been tremendous improvements in sanitation and water purification. I took both sons along on that trip, and none of us had any problems whatsoever with intestinal bugs. Although I had my doubts on a day trip we took to Chichen Itza. Lunch at a roadside place after the tour of the Mayan ruins was included in the tour package. The buffet-type lunch was delicious, but I took a big mouthful of one dish and instantly knew the meat was badly tainted. I'd already swallowed the mouthful and knew I was a dead man walking. But though I was expecting the worst, amazingly I didn't get sick.

I've never tried it, but some brands of yogurt (eg, Activia) contain a probiotic culture that regulates the digestive system, with the "good" bugs killing the "bad" bugs, and are touted as a preventative against the runs.

I think I went in 1995 and 2005 (don't quote me) and it was smooth sailing in the tourist areas and only beer outside of them. I missed out on the "old peso" exchange rate but was happy with the prices both times. Heck, even ganja in a TOURIST area was cheaper than in Negril and higher grade then what you can find on the beach.

BTW, I'm coming down your way June 23rd ish for a get together with some old friends. If time and your schedule permits we should connect.

Something good: Spring is coming! 3 days last week it hit the low to mid 60's, I saw a yard full of crocus bulbs today. I love spring when everything comes back to life (stay away from the cemeteries)

Got a few good things to tell. Couple weeks ago I cut by finger on some metal I probably should of got stitches but I was afraid I would have to get a tetanus shot (haven't had one since my mommy made me go). Its pretty much healed now and I didn't get lock jaw which is good because I wouldn't of been able to drink the 6 pack of beer I am planing on getting tomorrow while I'm in town. I haven't had a beer in a month so it should go down nice especially if I splurge and get some Old Milwaukee (there's pictures of 1950s bathing beauties on the cans of Old Milwaukee so sometimes it's worth the extra 50 cents. Cheers!

If I drive and see you first I will. IF not, I'm staying with a old friend who has a job...a job that would not invite me staying over with herb...the straight ass dude would lock me up in the fed prison system just for shits and giggles. Keep the dates in mind and we can talk more once they get closer. Heck, if we have enough time I can take you out to my uncle's farm and we can shoot some clay pigeons or random white trash people

I'll swing for the fifth of Rebel Yell! Or maybe my Marine son could take us to the range to fire his new toy on full automatic...not sure what he's got, some kind of assault rifle.

When I got on the bus today I was pleasantly surprised to see Smarty Marty. I haven't seen him in quite the while so it was nice catching up but were it starts getting good is I didn't mention that my good computer was broke because if I did he would of offered to come over and fix it then I would never learn how to fix my PC's. I met Smarty Marty when I took an adult education coarse and we had a "special" relation ship - he gave the answers to the other students but he taught me how to study efficiently and how to search for information. Probably seemed weird to the other passengers – couple guys that looked like bums (we were both in grubby work clothes) talking about the latest computer viruses. But were the extra special good starts is when Smarty Marty was a young adult he was a General in a notorious gang (then like magic) one day he didn't want anything to do with it anymore. The turn about probably wasn't because of magic or because Smarty Marty was a smart guy and figured out gangster life wasn't the answer – it was probably because of the Good Gene in human DNA (it hasn't been discovered yet but Smarty Marty and I both agree its in our genetic coding and the difference between good and bad behavior is in triggering a switch. Going to add that when scientist find the Good Gene it might prove we didn't evolve from apes it was divine genetic coding. Cheers and happy week end!
