The Christmas magic has began

Postby Nanoose » Sun Jun 19, 2011 2:11 pm

Last week I thought I would be a bit radical and break a Christmas tradition by setting up my Christmas village on the opposite side of the room this season. (Why I set it up this early is so I can get it out of the store room then fill the store room with fire wood) After I set it up on the opposite side I didn’t like it and kind of wanted to move it to it’s usual corner but decided to leave it there and put the 6 boxes of kindling under it like I do ever year. But this year it was different I had a space left – usually the 6 boxes just fit under the table with no space left.
Besides being in the opposite corner nothing has changed – the 6 boxes are the same and the table is the same and the 2 corners of the room are the same size so it’s kind of weird that this year I have a space that’s about 2/5 the size of one of the boxes. I could try using my math and science skills to try and figure out why volume has change but I would need 3 school room size black boards and assorted colored chalk which I don’t have. So I am going to just assume that the extra space is ether an oddity in the time and space continuum or Christmas magic. (I’m leaning towards Christmas magic because the time and space continuum probably doesn’t care if I am warm but Christmas magic would. I will be able to store a couple more days kindling in that space.
Cheers and Merry Christmas!

Already finished most of my Christmas shopping. Younger son has a summer job selling fine cutlery, and I helped him out by buying a nice set of Santoku knives as a Xmas gift for my elder son and his wife. I'm paying younger son's last 2 years of college tuition, plus his off-campus rent, utilities, and cable, so that's his Xmas gift.
