Great post Tinks, but i was not surprize at how the writer views of jamaica was depict in his article. Every country has there own problems, but as you know Jamaica always make the worst. He made it seems like there is no crime in Trinidad, Barbados, ect. If there were not crimes, poverty, and lack of employment, then why did people of those beautyful Island left to live and make life better in another country. What they just leave becaue they were bored? I don't think so! Look at America, every day a crime is commited, not that i am compairing Jamaica with America. It always ticks me off when foreigners visit Jamaica and choose to take the worst pictures of Ja, like zinc shacks and someone who looks down and out. Oh yea, it's reality! but not every Jamaicans live in shacks and looking for a handout. Sterotype of others will never stop.

It is so bad, that people who go there time and time again MUST be playing russian roulette with their lives!
Sad...

That's why I keep going back, I have yet to see any murders.....come to think of it I don't think I've every witnessed a crime there either. That "druggies paradise " statement by the media still gets me since I've never seen any drugs there (medical ganja excluded).
