For some reason, I was under the impression you were still maybe even shy of 20, and I was wondering why such a young, innocent gyal was linking up with a bunch of jaded old farts and reprobates like Ego and Teef. Anyway, loving your trip report & pics. Sorry I missed you this time, but a mere 3-night stay doesn't afford one much time to do much, does it?

Gatwick Airport is not far from where I live. It takes about 20 mins on the train or 4 mins if you drive. I tend to take the train when I am travelling to Europe, but a trip to Jamaica requires at least 2 suitcases, so the train is not an option. I got there, and for some unknown reason the lifts were out of action. I had to push my suitcases on a trolley up this long assed ramp, that seemed to go on forever and bloody ever...I was not amused. I said to this woman “It’s a good job I don’t have a heart condition!” There was even this poor old couple there who had to push their trolleys up this never ending ramp.

PMSL before i even read on any further gatwick is a 10 min taxi ride, 3 hour train, 10 min walk to train station link, another 30 min on train then up whatever stairs, lifts etc i come across - with overweight 2 huge suitcases, backpack and handbag......all on my own..... not knocking your efforts hun but u have no idea what trials i've been through to get to Ja

He did however bear a slight resemblance to Beenie Man - he had the same huge eyes. [color=#FF8000]His nose on the other hand was like the grand canyon. I swore I saw his brain via his nostrils.

The drinks trolley came round and I seized my first glass of wine for the flight. I know they say that drinking is not recommended during long haul flights, but I hate flying so I always get pissed on the plane so I can fall asleep.

Next up was lunch and my second glass of wine.[/color]


While they were serving the lunch, the Stewardess came over the tannoy to warn everyone that although [color=#FF0000]they may have a choice of lunch, the chances are that they may not have what people want by the time they get to the back of the plane, so folk should just accept it and not give the staff any grief. Well, that’s not what they said word for word, but that is what they meant.

u can guarantee the CHICKEN meal on these flights will always be gone first. i always opt for PORK

Don’t be fooled. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever had the misfortune to be served in my entire life. First of all the mushrooms were from a can. Watery, rubbery and shitty looking. The smattering of cheese was some orange processed crap that looked like that Cheeze Whiz the Canadians are so fond of. They must have just flashed that omelette over the fire, because it was all runny and yukky in the middle. I took one look at it and wanted to throw up, but there was nothing there to throw up. And don’t even ask where the hell they were going with the papaya, tomato, banana, lettuce and a slice of lime with a fornicating without passion ometlette!!!!

I decided to try a slice of the “toast”. I’m not sure what they toasted it with. They must have passed a match over it, or threw it flying past the grill and onto a plate. Next I tried the tea. Seriously, I know it is impossible to burn water, but the tea tasted as though that is exactly what they did. It was beyond vile and I wanted to cry.

I looked over at Eco and he was faring no better either.

Eventually we arrive back at Rooms on the Beach, where we all sat near the bar, and drank and chatted away the afternoon.

See that Dude in the background? He was reading from a pile of letters that he had received from his many friends overseas. It was funny because he was reading aloud – I’m not sure if he realised.

Ashley had me in hysterics about her tales of dead bodies. Her story about handling her first ever dead body has me crying even now when I think about it. It was as funny as hell and it was one of those, where you just HAD to be there.

Anyway, back to the trip report. After shooting the breeze and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere, we all parted ways and went to get ready to go and experience Karaoke at Ocean’s 11.

Hey, I love the JAB plugs at the end of your videos! On the Rooms one, was your audio picking up voices from the beach or people with their windows open? If they were from the beach you have one heck of a powerful mic on your camera!

The waiter seemed pleasant enough, and kept my glass filled up with water, which he somehow managed to spill [color=#FF0000]all over me and my Radley every time he went to refill the glass. (Yes Jels, the Radley got a bit wet ).

:rolling: at the breakfast story.

Looking back on it I see the humor but at the time it was a living nightmare! The place promoted that it sold Indian food and our server knew nothing about it, the food was over priced (I'm used to eating at local places for 1/3 of the price), and to top it all off the food was not fit for a dog. While I have a taste for good coffee, I'll seldom turn down a cup of bad coffee....their coffee was horrible!


Lol, Tinks offered me some of her omelet once she figured out that nothing on my plate was edible.....nice of her since it looked like some other customer vomited in the omelet---nasty looking. I think this was the only bad meal I have ever had in Jamaica

Anyway the food arrives. Looks good doesn’t it!

Even the lemon looks like it's been pre-sucked. And the bacon...I swear I just saw it move, like the pig is still alive!

Wahoo, I've had turkey bacon and pig bacon and the stuff on my plate was not from either animal.
