Update on my spring raise

Postby Nanoose » Sat Apr 30, 2011 10:59 pm

Last fall I made a post on JAB about how some of my grounds keeping customers had gotten together on the Fairwinds golf coarse and had a secret meeting about me and when I found out about their secrete meeting I was a little bit afraid because I thought they found out I smoke the ganja.
But it turned out that the secrete meeting was about letting me know that I should raise my hourly rate without hurting my feelings. I agreed with them and let them know that I would let all my customers know that my rates would be going up in spring.

The update is – last week 2 of the ring leaders of the secrete golf course meeting asked me if ever body was paying me the new hourly rate and I bet if I said no they would of wanted names and them maybe pay them a visit with an argyle sock with a couple of golf balls in it. Cheers and happy week end!

So, how many are not paying your new rate? I know some people that know some people who are pretty good with a baseball bat if you know what I mean :-)

Also, it might be too quick but did you find a replacement dog yet?

No ever body was glad to pay the new rate.
A couple of years ago I was talking to one of my grounds keeping customers and I mentioned that one of my other customers had passed on and he coldly said - well I hope it’s the one that doesn’t give you a ride home.
Before that he had found out that one of my new customers didn’t drive me home at the end of the work day and he kept trying to get that persons name so he could go have a talk with the person and explain how it’s done in Fairwinds.
Thought I would add that - that guy used to be an engineer and thanks to him we can all afford to drink instant coffee in the morning because he co designed a machine and a process that made freeze drying coffee economical to produce.

I am only going to have the one dog now I got him a couple years ago to replace Sundance when he died.

Cheers!
