Because usually the calls are from DNC canvasers wanting to know "If you were going to vote in the upcoming elections today, who would you vote for?" But this evening I had a phone survey call from Jiffy Lube in relation to my visit for an oil change this past weekend, and I figured what the hell, I'm not being paid for my opinions, but I'll do it. However, I kept confusing the surveyor. Her first question was something like "On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being dissatisfied and 10 being very satisfied, how would you rate your recent visit?" I replied, "I've already forgotten the numbers you mentioned, so I'll just reply 'very satisfied.'"
"So you would rate your visit as 10, is that correct, sir?" she asked.
Her next question called for a "yes" or "no" answer, but I responded "Very satisfied."
With a touch of annoyance in her tone, she asked, "So that would be a 'Yes" reply, sir?"
It went on this way for about 60 seconds, and by the end of the survey I think she was relieved to be rid of me.
