Wahoo's secret to great golf

Postby Wahoo » Fri May 01, 2009 9:25 pm

I've discovered that the least frustrating game of golf is "71," in which upon reaching that score, I retire to the clubhouse, no matter what the hole. I don't recall ever playing the back nine. And back at the clubhouse, when my pals ask me, "What did you shoot today, Wahoo?" I can truthfully answer, "71!"

Maybe next weekend I'll aim for the course record.

"71" is also an easy number to remember when I'm pulled over by the cops for driving on the sidewalk on the way home from the clubhouse.

"How many beers have you had today, sir?" the officer asks.

"71," Wahoo slurs.

Wahoo, that's the best idea I've ever heard! I use to play 2-3 times a week and hit two large buckets at the range 7 days a week before I had kids. I could never hit under an 80 except for once I pared the first nine holes and sucked ass on the back nine. Now I could pay for 9 holes and maybe get your 71 on a really really good day.

You have an attitude, Bajanbabe.

Reminds me of a buddy of mine in the Marines.

Our Gunnery Sergeant told him one day, "Bailey, you have an attitude."

"That's right, Gunny," Bailey replied, "and I'm gonna keep that em-effer, too!"

Anything that claims to be a sport should have some sort of fun in it.............. which leaves out Golf and Poker, they are just money makers...

Fun,

Golf: drinking beer while walking around beautiful fairways that are covered with all sorts of chemicals that leach into the local water sources= fun!

Poker: the thrill of taking someone's money at a table or winning a tournament=fun!

Great idea! The sport of Wahoo will be sort of like soccer, only it involves two balls instead of one and you're allowed to use your hands as well as your feet.

Well I work at houses built around the world class Fairewinds golf course
on Vancouver Island. I have been hit 5x by golf balls sometimes I think they
figure I am a hoe. Cheers!

Nanoose, if you've been hit 5x, you need to work on your swing...that's the worst hook I've ever heard about!

But seriously, now, being hit by a golfball can be a painful experience. I remember the time my father was hit by one in the hip. His entire side was one massive, ugly bruise. He was in some serious pain for a week...thought he might die.

The only thing worse than being hit by your own golfball is being hit by a boomerang! :yipes:

It really surprises me where I find golf balls in the yards I work in
(there pretty far from the green) .
I used to think golf was silly but the players really have fun and it’s a pretty
challenging game. I don’t play but always watch them.
One of my customers is the marshal for the golf coarse (probably get you a free game) he is also a former defensive tackle for the Edmonton Eskimos and a real hoot to talk to.
Cheers and happy week end!
