TV series Lost in space. When I was a kid I thought that robot was stupid because all he pretty much did was wave his arms around and say - danger – danger Will Roberson! Plus he didn’t really have a name.
I had mixed emotions about Doctor Smith he was pretty bad - but he seemed to be the only one that had the decency to give the robot a humorous nic name like bubble headed booby
Now a days I wish I had a robot at work that would wave its arms around and say – danger – danger Nanoose (I’d program him to say it that way) plus I would program him to point out the specific problem instead of just waving its arms around .
But I don’t so before I begin a work day I look for all the dangers and if I start getting careless and not working safely – I say to my self danger - danger Will Robinson..
On October 30th - if I had a robot like the one on lost in space it would of been a bit pointless. After the robot warmed me of the 2 specific work dangers “slippery unstable embankments and a 99.99% chance of more rain†- I would of said – no da thanks a lot you bubble headed booby please go scan for aliens and send in Robbie the robot to stabilize the embankments. Cheers! .
PS: Robbie the robot - the robot from Lost in space and I would probably all hate
that smug irritating robot Stanley on the TV show the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.
